I agree there wasn't much in the push we've seen them given.

Doesn't matter anymore anyway, season over, job done!!!

Thought we looked good today. In the main we were very comfortable for the team we put out. Pickford is going to be one hell of a player for us. Thought Robson looked good and I hope we can use him as a back up to PVA next year season. This should save a bit of money in this department. Greenwood comes across as a lad with plenty of potential....nice touches on the ball. Just needs more games like Watmore has had. Honeyman didn't really get into the games but I think definitely deserves more opportunities. I would have liked to have seen Beadling given a bit time but hopefully during pre season he can show Big Sam he can do something.

Some of the decisions Friend gave were poor but it's just expected from him now when he has our games. I thought if we had our starting team from the last seven games playing today we would have won by a country mile. If there is ever a top ten team in the making over these last eight games it's Sunderland. Interestingly on the tv here there was a discussion about the top teams next season....Robbie Earle put Sunderland in the mix to surprise a lot of people.

He's still a raw potential diamond - needs game time in less pressurised matches imo

He's 25, potential should be fulfilled by then.

What's the point in paying £10m for someone who needs to play in 'less pressurised matches'.

Haway man, he's hardly a raw and potential anything Wanderer.

The lad was being touted as a future England player years ago.

Sicknote needs to go to another more accomodating physio bench at another club.

We need players with the sort of commitment that the Leicester squad showed. I've no idea what his actual to potential games ratio is, but I bet it doesn't make for pleasant reading.

I hate to knock our players but I've said it before, he remains my biggest disappointment. I was over the moon when we bought him.

    PRO UK we
IMO he lost his formative years in the pro game at Man City where he did not get enough game time.
He probably needs regular game time at a lower league level.
But as he did'nt do much at Watford I'm with you - no future here for me .

See my reply to GiaccTheLad - I agree it's a sad fact of a footballers life .
He's not needed and we move on.
I was a bit unsure when we bought him - too long out of 1st team football

A few thoughts looking back on that game, although my opinion on Mr Friend has not changed, the linesmen cost us two goals, even if one of them had stood we would have won that game. I doubt Watford would have come back from 3-1. Even though it would not have made our position any different I disagree with the opinion that it does not really matter, it does, and Sam was, quite rightly, not happy about it in his post maych interview. Dame N'Doye played quite well as did Lens, but both are not, for one reason or another, the players to improve on the current first choices.. Jos, and Rodders need replacing, and Yed needs to be sent back to Spurs, these players are blocking progress, and costing points imo.

I`d be inclined to keep O`Shea 1 more season (depending who comes in obviously) but wouldn`t stand in the way of the others.

Still plenty need to be shipped out.

There`ll be a dedicated thread nearer the window with lots to discuss no doubt.

Quite looking forward to it this time for some reason. Might be something to do with finally getting shot of Fletcher, Graham & Co.

I think we are stuck with JoS, and expect him to be around until his contract expires, as long as he is not used too often im OK with that but he is an expensive luxury imo. His main contribution seems to be as a leader on and off the pitch thats not what we pay him for.

I think Sam`s already mentioned about strengthening the defence. Unless there`s a series of injuries I don`t think he`ll get much game time.

We should go all out for him, mate. He's an attacking right back, with plenty of pace and can deliver a quality cross into the box. As the PSG team progresses, he hasn't quite been good enough for them. He's a big strong lad, the kind of player I could see SA going for as well. He would certainly improve our team, but I reckon he'll have offers from one or two champions league clubs.
