Unfortunately Rooney is the captain and he'll start all the games.

Come on England, getting excited for this one. Just wish we had better options down the wings but who knows, Milner might morph into Chris Waddle this time, don't think Woy will play him out wide this time hopefully anyway

I'd still have had Walcott in there for Townsend, absolutely not from the start but his speed is explosive and sometimes you need that. I'd also have Carroll in for Rashford as he offers full beast aerial threat, which again is something you need sometimes, particularly when chasing a goal and the centre of the pitch is closed off. Other than that there's not a lot to argue about, possibly Delph but if Dier gets hurt there's no one else who offers a bit of bite in the deeper role. I don't know if Oxlade-Chamberlain is injured or anything and I know he's not had the best of seasons but he's ****ing quality and should have a place somewhere.

Rooney's on about playing a midfield role. Townsend is in because Roy likes him and shows loyalty to players who have done well in the past. Not sure about Henderson or Wiltshire - Drinkwater deserves a chance though.

I'd actually take Drinkwater over Henderson, you just know it won't happen though

I think Oxlaide Chamberlain is injured otherwise there would be no Townsend. Wouldn't Drinkwater be able to be a good deputy for Dier? It's definitely the midfield that's the issue for us I think, take out Delli Alli Dier and possibly Barkley then theres not much going on

I like that apart from maybe Walker for Clyne, or maybe somebody should go forge a new Squadsheet with Odubajo there..

yeh for sure Alli is talented, although hopefully he'll rectify the attitude issue he had.

    barkley also very talented.

Dier, Alli, Barkley. Definitely the strongest out of that group.

Do we not need any experience and veterans? We're going full youth and low amount of caps?
I guess rooney's meant to bring that but since I think most of the country is hoping he doesn't start, how's that going to work?

Henderson, who's 25 is the next closest thing to "experience"?

When did James Milner turn into the love child of Peter Reid and Martin Keown?

I can't believe he's pick GlassJack Wilshire. Isn't Ward-Prowse English? I'd have him in, also Henderson is ****.

That's whatI'd start with. Jagielka isn't in the 26 though - bizarrely. He's a better option than Cahill.

Ugh. There's no point even complaining anymore. Half that team shouldn't even ****ing be there.

Delph. Henderson. Townsend. Wilshere. Why are they there? Why are people like Noble, Defoe and others are ignored. Form is what you base the squad on, for ****s' sake.

Also, that argument about Walcott not playing enough is bloody hilarious. What a ****ing idiot you are Woy.

    Just piss off.

We are bolloxed with Smalling, Stones and Walker in there. I feel a firm of Solicitors joke coming from somewhere. Ah well get over the disappointment early and do something else with June.

This would be my starting XI. Not sure about the formation but the BBC's selector is a bit ****.
