Giving Rooney the captaincy has killed the competition before its started. There's no way he gets in on form, so we're playing with 9.5 men.

I don't know how he can include Wilshire in the squad. He's been out most of the season and only played, what, two full games and a couple of subs? Should be no where near. And i'd include Henderson too for the same reason

 

We need a hero to step up and give Rooney a 4 week injury in training, it's our only hope

Surprised defoe didn't get a chance, give any of our forwards a chance and defoes or Sturridge are the ones that would tuck it away more often than not.

Did id think he'd take carrol just as a totally different option. Something to throw on with 10 mins to go to cause havoc.

 

He's picked Wilshere out of loyalty, as he was MOTM in about 4 of the last 5 qualifiers he played in.

I agree though, he should be nowhere near, as Woy should pick on form not past performances. Same goes for Horrenderson, who just shouldn't be anywhere near full stop.

You can add Stones to that list as well.

 

I'd have been tempted to take Carroll as a 'plan B', as his style would not be one that most European defenders come up against i.e. cart horse No.9

 

yeah but... I did look when i saw the squad but then thought... nah that just being a smart ****er and it'll back fire. the CBS are smalling (injury prone) Cahill (donkey) stones( woeful form) and dier... all RCBs... no LCB in the squad and none of those picked played LCB for club.

instantly england are ****ed right there.


As for LBS.

no expectations means if england even get to 2nd in group people will think its good.

 

Smalling and Cahill are a decent pairing, but if one gets crocked, then Woy has a major problem.

I think the fullbacks aren't great either. I like Clyne, but the rest are just ordinary imo.

 

It's an option isn't it, a plan b, which is one more than England ever have so why bother changing now eh ... why try something different when you can have the same old **** ... bet Hodgson has the same meals every day for his whole adult life he's that imaginative
