More of an issue with Delph..but at least not Walcott

 

No Jagielka? He's a better bet than Cahill.

 

The only issue is Roy will try and accommodate Rooney at all costs. Which in my opinion is detrimental to the rest of the team.

 

I think Rooney's getting past it aswell but they might need his experience, I think it depends on how and how often Woy uses him.

 

Don't like our midfield.

Dier is the only solid one there

All the others either have talent but unproven, have been giving many chances but not shown much or have inconsistent performances

 

Deli Ali is already a fine player.

 

I'm actually quite shocked because more than anything I can't really disagree with what he's put in there. Delph and Townsend will surely be sacked off, along with Rashford too no doubt. Hammers fans will cry about Noble, but there is a fair amount of CM strength in there already. And thank **** walcott is no where near that squad

 

I agree. Our strongest XI is:

Hart
Clyne Cahill Smalling Rose
Lallana Henderson Drinkwater Sterling
Alli or Barkley
Vardy or Kane

 

I said in 1966 we would never win another tournament until we had a Hull City playet in the team. And I have been right.

 

Going to stick my neck on the block for this forum and say we need Townsend more than the likes of Henderson and Milner, those two are just plodders for me in the biggest tournaments and we could leave either out and I'd be happy, we are short with impact wide players, I don't trust Lallana so that leaves Sterling. No Walcott so if I was a betting man Townsend will make it. (edited)

 

I'd start Dier and Delli Alli if possible, Barkley has the potential but including Wilshere will be a gamble. I like the defence and attack though, and Forster is a great option for Hart

 

i had a sneaky suspicion he may go for Andy Carroll, perfect to come on for last 15-20 mins if we need a goal, something different to what we have there tbh and someone who the likes of Vardy and Kane could feed off, but hey TWT,

Milner should be one of the first names on the team sheet. Outstanding professional.

 

From what I've seen of him in the tournaments over the years he is anonymous, very good Prem player, should have put in the other comment plodder at the major tournaments, can't argue with his Prem career

 

Just wish we had a decent manager for this tournament although we could do very well despite him with some of the quality we have in the squad now
