Poor poor Arsenal. Now that they've finished second and can obsess again over their trivial local dispute and win over Spurs in the league, the ammunition for the Wenger out campaign of yet another weak fourth place finish is taken away by a weak second place finish. So the wholesale changes needed at the club to make it competitive again aren't going to happen and they'll continue as Arsenel with the grey commander in chief talking about their twes bien second pwace. Shows what's important to them though, just be better than Spurs.

That Arsenal YT channel has the most amount of pure ******s per square inch of screen space I think I've ever seen on the internet, they're all touched, it's like they've had the patients on a hospital special ward set up a channel for a project just to keep them quiet

I simply cannot believe the total mess this is.

It is deeply embarrssing, highlights total unpreparedness and invites the radicals to try something.

    1. The private "security" company. Well... it's pretty ****ing basic to count out your training models and count them back in. To not do this is such a basic fundamental error that would call their competence to do anything into question. The basic procedure was shambles.

    2. Utd obviously didn't sweep the stadium that morning. That's an obvious flaw. Stadium tours go on all the time and anything could be left. I'd say a member of public found it in the toilet personally. Again Shambolic? Press were on about 2/3 searches as they brought their stuff in...

    3. How do you make a realistic looking bomb and don't put a ****ing big red tag on it with company name and contact numbers ffs.

Like show people what one might look like sure but jesus you don't do crap like this.

In the end... I've seen some god awful crap in my time.. Beach balls included but this is the worst and a global embarrassment for the whole league.

It calls the whole prem preparedness into question and frankly they've 2 months to fix it now.

Yep this is why I thought the whole thing was dodgy from the start.

Finding the device with thousands already in the stadium is not a success. Either you haven't checked for days, or it's only just been planted, and if it's only just been planted the guy is on CCTV and might as well have blown himself up with it anyway.

Also as I mentioned at the time a "controlled explosion" on it meant nothing about it being a #legit threat it's just a standard response.

Perhaps they should treat external companies the way they do fans. Travel to a far away place, pick up your ticket, get on the official coach.

I'd imagine that the company who organised the drill and the company that look after OT's security / stewarding (assuming they're not one and the same) will be the subject of a compensation claim equivalent to the loss of revenue.

They fold. There no way you can take a hit like that. Police bills, etc etc...

I mean it's basic I put 10 out. I count 10 back. The stadium manager should have seen to that too.

You also put labels on them saying dummy and device number and name of the company etc.

It's not like the sniffer dogs will read the tag and say "**** that, it's #fake mate"

Public liability insurance? That's usually got £10m cover as part of it.

Whoever is responsible has massively ****ed up like. Not least the training company who should have realised it was potentially one of their units when the initial news of a 'suspect package' hit the media. Sounds like they chose to stay nothing....

You'd have thought the stadium should have been swept on the morning of the game and not half an hour before KO?

    Hugely embarrassing for all concerned.

Story doesn't add up. I suspect it wasn't even a sweep, it was literally someone going for a piss and noticing it.

The need for us to have a scheme that involved a retail 'enabler' like was proposed at both Kirkby and WHP has now gone.

If we'd have ploughed on with WHP it stood a real chance of taking years to get past planning as it could have been 'called in' like the Kirkby proposal was.

The decision to ditch it, and focus instead on brownfield sites for a stadium alone, is a positive one imo.

Even though Joe Anderson has just said he is "pretty confident" that EFC will be playing in a new stadium within three years he finishes off by saying the WHP move was always a non starter in these days of austerity.
I read there's two sites within the city boundary that are possible new homes for EFC but if the council can't afford to throw any money at it where does the dough come from, the new Everton owner?

    Yes.
    I agree.

They should have swept the place prior to gates opening I'd have thought as it was there since Wednesday.

Public liability might cover it but if I were company I'd try my hardest not to pay them.

In fairness if it was literally 20/30 mins to call off but the stadium manager should have trigger... Oh...

But I suppose it's so bizarre you might not but... well.... he should have known every location of every package put in and should counted them out too.

    I mean seriously

Well... I HOPE the thing was found by a dog not a guy going to match.

Can you imagine going for a slash and finding that in there....
