So as I said when the news first broke, the FA should ask Man Utd to review their security procedures.

If this ****up is confirmed then Man Utd should cover all the travel insurance claims for the 70,000+ who had their time and money wasted.

True, I dunno how many would end up piloting the planes though, probably just one on each due to issues getting themselves onto training courses i.e. it's expensive and highly suspicious

Shame the training exercise news came so soon (not soon enough to save the game), some guy has spent the last 7 hours working on a multi-billion pound sales pitch for full body scanners at all football grounds.

Doubt it given that they're now allowed to turn up whenever the **** they want for away games and to decide the kick off time

I read on the guardian website

One sentence saying this then a whole article about how safe everything was.

This is the most embarrssing **** up I've ever heard of. I have never ever heard of something so stupid in football.... ever.

Probably. They have failed spectacularly in their duty to prepare their stadium for the match. No outside influence to blame.

Man Utd seem prone to a ****load of gaffes since David Gill was replaced by that Woodworm guy. This probably wasn't his fault but its funny that these types of things seem to happen a lot more since he got the top job.

Not United bashing here as it probably could happen to anyone but they must at least pay for the Bournemouth fans expenses...either full refund or all arrangements for Tuesday....pass the bill on to the Consultant numoties...

Actually they should pay for all the United fans expenses too!

Why didn't Woodward remember there was a training exercise a few days ago when he called the PL to cancel the game as he ran from the stadium?

So it's a fake suspect package used during a training exercise for sniffer dogs that's been left behind after the exercise had finished

    Monumental **** up there
