Not homophobic at all fella, hence wife/boyfriend...... A few years ago it would of read Wife !
What I meant by being "so far up bums " was that "he/she " is forever erm, well arse licking or patronising even to the detriment of the team he or she supposedly supports ?
Definitely not homophobic though CK .

What was arse-licking about his comment? He noted a trend. Literally nothing positive about Spurs in that comment.

You may end up in the CL by winning the Europa. Nothing bizarre in that.
You earned access to the EL by virtue of your PL position last season
You have earned another route to the CL by virtue of your EL performances.

Back to January..."We need support for Kane and an extra body to cover Dier and Dembele." Well, we didn't go for them and we can probably count ourselves lucky that we didn't blow a CL place. We limped over the line into third. Shades of 2012? It feels a bit like it today.

Okay, it's a really **** end to the season. Today was unacceptable and only MP's honesty regarding how awful it was makes it feel any less gutting. However, you don't cross him twice and he'll be ruthless with those that can't meet his standards and will seek out others that will. That's the up side. This bloke won't accept second best from anyone. I believe in him to put it right and go again (and I'm still sober!).

honestly i find it slightly bizarre considering our form apart from the fact the last 3 home ties have been so good - wish it was still over 2 legs like the old days as i would be confident of winning it at Anfield.

on Spurs yes you lot fell apart during and since Chelsea but you need to calm down you have a young squad and clearly a manager who has something about him
mind you AVB got you as many points :bandit:

AVB - or more precisely: Gareth Bale - actually got us 72 points <laugh>

Your point about the EL is basically the Sevilla paradox though isn't it? Regularly finish somewhere pretty irrelevant in the top half of La Liga yet compensate for this with regular triumphs in the EL. The only difference has been that until now, that hasn't been rewarded with a CL place.

Didn't Fulham recently also get to the same final with a meh PL campaign ?? It happens.
You have a cup final like any other. Get your best fittest XI on the pitch and go from there.

AVB finished with 72 pts in 2013. Courtesy of Bale.
But he too missed out on the CL because his squad had a fatal 4 game slump in form
that let the Goons escape again. The margins of error at the top end of the PL table are fine.

I am honest and call it as I see it , on many posts here and other boards !
I've given loads of credit to Spurs, especially your manager and posters on here, I have also had the occasional WUM moment, though it used to be called banter but sometimes ,some of you guys seem to snap and snarl at any criticism, no matter how justified, which comes your way ?
You,like us have had a fantastic season , where we've punched well above our weight !
Champions League here we come !
    All the best !

So where did Spurs go wrong ??

Should we have swallowed our long-held pride on the Spurs playing ethos and just played the Leicester game,
get reams behind the ball, fast counter-attack or hoof the ball regularly and hope for someone speedy
like Vardy is on the end to win the game for us ??

Pretty much how I read it. Missing one of Alli and Dembele would've weakened the team, no denying that, but missing both outright crippled it.

I've been saying for a while that central midfield needs an overhaul in the summer because once Dier or Dembele miss games due to injury or suspension we don't have any actual cover for them, instead we have a few players that happen to be central midfielders and it shows.

It is pathetically sad that you're a Leicester fan who has come to a Spurs forum to insult a United fan in terms that, whether you like it or not, have homophobic undertones. It isn't banter, it isn't even a wind-up. It's just plain sad.

This is the part that worries me. Pochettino not accepting second best is entirely down to Levy giving him the funds and the freedom that will allow this to happen. Last summer started so brightly in this regard as we cleared out deadwood rapidly and at a loss, then brought in 3 new defenders to improve a desperately poor area of the team. But it tailed off badly with the berahino farce and dallying over Son and Njie, very much returning to a 'normal Levy service resumed' throughout August. This trend continued into January with the NEW STRIKER comedy of errors. Levy seriously needs to just piss off and let Poch do what he needs to do. The manager has shown his confidence in the chairman by signing that new contract, now it's time for Levy to put his money where his mouth isn't and let the experts do the transfer talking.

I think we need another major clear out this summer with Fazio, Chadli, Carroll, Mason, Vorm and possibly Trippier too all not up to the task.

not only are those cover players not direct replacements, but they don't even give us something special in their own right. Just passengers in every game they play.
