never seen the champions league before ...never a sniff and never ever will ... cant even remember a star player that ever played for them ..or a high profile manager ..speaks for itself ..in my eyes .. have your fun while yous can ..
It would be ironic if this time next year we had qualified for Europe.. PS..Sunderland are still the only North East club who have qualified for Europe by actually winning something..
RAW, any chance you can have a word with your fellow poster, TeessideMackem? I mean, he really did show himself up last night with his utter drivel. I guess the toxic smog in boroland must effect his one working brain cell. It makes the job of decent wummers much more difficult because we can point at the collective wummery effort and laugh at how poor it is, overall. There's wumming and there's being an absolute spacka. He was the latter.
Apart from the year we qualified for Europe by winning a European trophy (this could take a while - me and you have been here before Whitey )
Teesside is an absolute gem who I have had the honour of sharing a few beers with on numerous occasions..
Tell him from me that he is a **** wummer and another fanny along the same lines as bri and safcrocket.
Aye, that **** competition that had the same qualifying rules as the early UEFA Cup, the trophy that Barcelona class as a major European trophy (another club desperate to pretend they've won something cos they never do?), and that every set of fans apart from you lot class as a genuine European trophy, blah, blah, blah...... Do we really want to do this again?
The qualification for the Fairs Cup was bizarre to say the least..Newcastle qualified because only one team from a city was allowed to enter, which ruled out a lot of clubs who finished above Newcastle in the league..I don't think this ever applied to the UEFA Cup
It applied until 1975. Both Everton and Liverpool qualified for Europe that year and Everton took UEFA to court to have the rules changed. Ironically, the only other time UEFA have changed their rules based on the threat of legal action was down to the same two clubs when Everton finished 4th and Liverpool won the Champions League but weren't going to be allowed to defend the trophy.
****ING HELL LADS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT AGAIN. Pretty please.
