you reckon its rosbergs title already, or hamilton stands a chance to catch up? i ask as have a feeling there is behind the scenes foul play happening to keep a certain driver happy
Something's dodgy behind the scenes fo' sho' ... v suspicious how he has suddenly been having all these car issues, breakdowns, failures and not being able to set it up properly when last season he was imperious and Rosberg didn't really have many issues either. The blueprint of the car is the same as last season so it can't have suddenly become much less reliable but even excusing that Rosberg has had zero issues this season, he hasn't suddenly become so much better than Hamilton Hamilton can still make up the gap, plenty of races left, but he needs to win a race soon, i.e. tomorrow would be a very good time to start with a pole today, otherwise the team start to focus mostly on the leading driver (not that this hasn't been happening all season so far having mentioned the above) and Rosberg gains further psychological edge, I don't think Lewis has a big problem here, I think he's tougher than Rosberg in that department, when it's all going right Rosberg is pretty quick, not super quick quick like Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel, but fast enough and reasonably serene ... but we've seen that when Hamilton is on his game Rosberg loses it, can't cope and falls apart. Hamilton is simply the better driver but he needs to get his head in the game before it all runs away from him (I'm not a Hamilton fan boy either - see this being chucked at people on here - just like to see the best drivers performing at their best. Take Alonso, it's so ****ing sad that he's stuck in that terrible McLaren, guy deserves so much better ... that's another story) Hamilton on top in Q2 right now anyway
Have to say Verstappen looks like a top prospect and future WDC ... first weekend in a Red Bull and he's 3rd (behind the Mercs remember) and nearly half a second quicker than Ricciardo, what a champ
Hamilton puts himself under pressure with a big lock up on his first flyer in Q3 ... got to be a one lap special now if he wants to take pole away from Rosberg
Hamilton nails the final lap 1.22.00 dead ... takes pole Rosberg .280 behind in 2nd, fast but not fast enough with Hamilton finding something Ricciardo .680 in 3rd ... great lap under pressure from the upstart Verstappen, stamping some authority on the teenager Verstappen 1.087 in 4th ... great debut session but I imagine he'll be disappointed not to be in the top 3
Shaved my beard off and without one it feels really weird and I don't think I like it At least the lads won't be calling me Joe Allen anymore or they probably still will and we'll go round his gaff, break in at 3am and forcibly shave him and give him a haircut
Really off practice to quali performances Rosberg fades, Hamilton commits really hard. Ferrari absolutely nowhere... unsure if it's temperature or its pure they just don't have the higher engineering england setting goals to go faster. Riccardo shocked by verstappen but reacts well and beats the guy. Race will be interesting
