its now carrol with a single l as this really seems to upset them (ref. carrol please be true post)
but with fat mike being a spurs supporter anyway i expect this is why the inflated price will be agreed, as they will get the long haired one they desire, mr. sports direct will pocket a hefty bit for his next lunch, and the rest will be invested in spurs shares, so eveyone is happy, exept the ones who dont matter anyway

    gyans-

Come of it mate. Bent was the be all end all of Sunderland before he left, now he was the 3rd best striker at Sunderland.

i disagree, i for one wish the whole bent episode had never happened, i wish he was still here forming a partnership with gyan, it is not the fact he left but the manner in which he did, we have go get over it much the same as you will once saggy chops offer becomes to much to refuse

I can't see Carroll leaving just yet, but it will be hard for him to stay in the summer.

The sooner Capello ****s off and Redknapp gets the England job the better.

I said this on the Toon board, what on earth does Levy do and how is he so rich? They seem to spend millions and millions every single window, but very little income. They have champions league obviously, as well as TV money, but not much of it can come from 36k fans. Saying that, charging 40+ quid a ticket might help.

But it is a lot of money they spend, how did he make himself so rich?

Genuinely the last few weeks Bent looked right off it. He missed a ton of sitters v Blackpool and hadn't scored for 5 games or so I don't think. Welbeck and Gyan together looked lethal. Gyan was awesome against Blackpool (away) after Bent left. He relished the lone striker role. In terms of natural goalscring ability then Bent is very hard to beat. He kept us up last year but has looked a shadow of himself this season. In terms of all-round quality then Gyan amd Welbeck win. All-in-all i'm disappointed Bent left especially in the way he did but i'm happy with the price he went for. We can now get in Muntari and Sessegnon (who we were going to sign before the money came in) meaning we still have £24mil to spend in the summer.

bent was replaced by gyan as top stricker. we are a team moving to the future and the money we got for bent will be used for better players

...and just my opnion but if I was a mag (I would order somebody to shoot me immediatly) £25 million for Aunty Carol is a massive amount of money. I would take it like. That money would go a long way to securing another year in the Prem. Carol is not worth £25 million on current ability but who's to say he will reach his full potential? He might do but if he has peaked already or in the near future then you'll never see that much money for him again.

Fuller would be a 6 month stop gap striker. Apparently we enquired but we have made no bid. If we get Sessegnon, Bruce isn't going to go out of his way for a striker as he has been known to fill in there. We have Welbeck returning in 5 games time and Frazer Campbell soon after that hopefully. Gyan can keep us on track for Europe for a few weeks nee bother <ok>
