Mmn, not really. It's just the evolutionary process at work.

You'll be pleased to know then that I don't drive anymore. I have a delightful lady to drive me wherever I want to go. This means I have plenty of time to look at all the idiots who drive on our roads and most of them are in BMWs or Audis or wear baseball hats.

Do you listen to his radio show - R2 10am Saturdays? If anything, it's even better than his TV show - great fun!

I'm afraid I don't. Danny Baker, if any radio goes on. But I'll give it a try next week perhaps.

I think middle aged women in Mercedes are the worst drivers.

The one that used to be avoided at all costs was the guy in the tweed hat with a tiny feather in the trim. Invariably drove a Morrris Minor way past the time they otherwise disappeared from the roads. Never had an accident. Caused thousands. Now they've gone and we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

More weird holiday stuff. We get on a train at Barcelona Airport and a stop before we getoff a busker gets on and starts playing Oh When The Saints on the saxophone. Naturally I joined in with the chorus!

When I first learnt to drive, the worst drivers were men wearing a hat (inside a car for God's sake) and driving Rover 2000s. They invariably crawled even though they had a 2L engine.

Yes indeed. They men who couldn't afford the Rover 2000s drove the Morris Minors. The hat wearing is crucial. The wee feather in the trim is optional, but if worn then the driver is almost certainly even worse.
Oh, and if you see an elderly driver wearing driving gloves [and wearing a tweed hat and feather] then just get out of there quick. Turn off your route, stop, turn round, anything but follow. You'll be involved in an accident. ;)

Hamilton gets pole in Spain, but Verstappen gave Ricciardo an almighty fright in his first race for Red Bull. Great lap from Ricciardo to take third though.

THAT I'll definitely agree with you on! Nearly wiped out today on the M27 by two twats in a Mini and a Skoda Octavia having a race which involved cutting through traffic using all 3 lanes (usually overtaking on the inside) and dong at least 85. Pity that unmarked cop car that's sometimes on that stretch of road wasn't there!
I admit to having a 4x4 but I do a lot of miles and plan to take it through Europe next year from north to south and then west to east, so I justify it that way :emoticon-0100-smile

It's one of the few programmes I look forward to watching, each week.
The manner in which everyone interacts, and the way GN gently mocks some of them, is great to watch.
Jennifer Lawrence comes across as someone who is very "feet firmly on the ground" nice. Great sense of humour and able to laugh at herself. Loved her comment about Trump. :emoticon-0173-middl :emoticon-0136-giggl

Small child had a microphone shoved into his hand and asked if he had a question for Usain Bolt. After much thought, he said, 'Mr Bolt, what is one plus two?'

Usain got the answer right. :)

Yep. The first thing I noticed about Miss Lawremce was her bouncing personality on that show....

I know Geography was never my strong point, but Australia leading the Eurovision Song Contest? Mind you I am watching with the sound muted so I might have missed a nuance or two.

I don't have a clue how the voting system worked, but it seemed like a total stitch up to me.
    Ukraine won it.

Well that spoiler stopped me having to watch it on iPlayer thanks. I think I'd better edit your post just in case someone doesn't want to know.

I've just got round to catching up with the interviews. Hamilton needs to look at someone like Ricciardo. His interview was excellent having just pioped Verstappen. No ego, just some genuine compliments to the "young rooster" coming through.

I don't like Hamilton and I'm liking him less and less with each interview he gives.

To be honest I didn't consider that anyone actually would be in the least bit interested!
