Interestingly, there's a new article on BBC Wales about Dylan Thomas which makes quite interesting reading and suggests that during his time in Laugharne he wasn't the hell-raiser he'd previously been portrayed http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-36266596

I love the part where it says "three or four pints was his absolute limit," but if that was every day...

Laugharne people (generally the men!) who knew him have very fond memories of him and are very protective of him, maybe not surprising considering how much money he's still making for the town.

Sorry, I know that this is way, way off topic :)

The south coast of Cornwall is my second favourite place. In fact, Cornwall is right up there. Nearly moved to Port Isaac [yes, north coast again] when my marriage went down the tubes. Probably sensible that I didn't. ;)

Ron would never have that much mayo. A whole jar would be standing there. ;)

You should be embarrassed to call that "Chips and Mayo" ... it is more like Chips with the remaining smudge of whatever was on the plate before!

That's a pathetic amount from a country where the idea originated. <doh>

Ron would have taken his own jar and they've spelled that incorrectly

I thought that too. When you're abroad surely all the words are the same as English but end in an 'O' not 'A' [emoji3]

At the risk of dragging the thread back in the direction of this match, Pardew has apparently said Speroni will start in goal for Palace for sentimental reasons. He's going to match the record for most appearances by a keeper for Palace.

It would be a terrible shame if we ruined his day!

Just to add a little spice to everyone's good mood today, Lawro and Guest have predicted these scores. Lawro's predictions are on the left:

The X-X's are for the actual result.

Of course it means little, but it's just nice that the media are on our side for once.

After what Ron said earlier his odds with betfred have drifted from 5/4 to 3/1.

    Their odds compilers want shooting.

It's only the vaste unfathomable army of mug punters keeping modern bookies in business. Wonder how many people backed Koeman because his odds shortened? Some people deserve to go skint.
