It's Brendan...you liked their enthusiasm...you hoped it would work and then battled with anger at the let down and sadness that it just didn't work....

Frank de Boer has left Ajax and is rumoured to be Everton bound (BBC)

About time frank de boer shut up and moved.

But has he been pushed or walked out... they failed on last day to win title.

He's been mouthing about his big move for 4 years or more

I was told yesterday that he's not the favourite for the Everton job, as he's got another offer on the table. Valencia maybe?

Was about to say - FDB is too good for Everton. Would have been a very good appointment if they pulled it off.

    lol

Steve McLaren was viewed like ****ing Fergie in Holland, so I'd be wary of De Boer.

If he came with his backroom staff of Stam and Bergkamp then I'd be mildly aroused, but I think they're staying at Ajax.

haha, if my information from yesterday is correct then yes. But things change quick in football, so don't blame me if you end up homeless <laugh>

EDIT: Been told again that he's not coming to us, so Betfair here we come, as he's gone odds on :)

Well, that's the league ****ed now.

I can't see the reserves getting much at West Brom who'll want to finsih the season well at home.

The Saints are flying at moment, so cant see them slipping up and we'd need a win to have any chance of catching West Ham.

So, next Wednesday is massive, biggest game since Chelsea in 2013/14.

Win and it's another European trophy, the prestige and the CL next year,
Lose and its another trophy less season, a lowly league finish (below a mediocre Utd, in spite of Astro's empty assurances) and no European football.

Thus are the vagaries of Football. I'd argue, even in defeat next wednesday, it would of been a decent season.
2 cup finals and a fantastic run in the Europa KO's. Sadly they are just memories which will fade.

At least we can watch the FA cup final, either glowing in European success, or not needing Utd to win to scrape into next years Europa. (horrible thought, that)

    yup.. its all or nohting.

We won't get anything but 8th if we don't beat west brom so we can forget about that europa last spot...

£1.5m per league positron suggests otherwise mate. Especially when you looked all set for a comfortable top half finish not so long ago.

With all the money they've lost on the sacking they could have bought another Niasse

Everton were looking good until about Christmas. You were in with a shout of top six, the very least top eight.

    6th to 16th = 10 positions or £15m

    8th to 16th = £12m

But yeah, means diddly squat mate <laugh>

Both teams have been poor in the league.

    But in context,

Pool are around par for the last few years bar the Suarez season. (6/7th-ish with 60ish points
Everton are well below were they should be (mixing it with Pool) and continuing last seasons slide.

Get a decent manager in and keep that squad together, and i'd expect you to push for top8 next season.
