    Match Appointments
Referee: Kevin Friend (not ours) Assistants: M. Salisbury(that's a place), A. Fox(that's an animal) Fourth Official: D. Deadman(that's Jimmy Saville !)

    Match Facts :-

Watford’s win against Sunderland earlier this season ended a run of six league matches without a win against the Black Cats (D2 L4).

Sunderland have won just one of their last seven Barclays Premier League away matches (W1 D4 L2).

Only one team (WHam) have stopped Sunderland from scoring in their last 13 top-flight away trips.

Sunderland have only won one, and lost 11, of their 14 final day fixtures in the Premier League <yikes>

This fixture has no bearing on anything, fortunately, so we just want to have a good day out in That London, before forgetting about football for a while and looking forward to next season in The Premier League :emoticon-0100-smile

I don't intend to do these next season, mind <nahnah>

It's an entertaining thought, but he hasn't.

Back on topic, anybody give two flying fuchs if you lose this one? I wonder if Defoe has earned a rest and you'll see a few of the whipper snappers.

Time to relax, have few drinks and a few laughs and see what the kids can do with the pressure off them.

I don't, it's not like past seasons when we've limped over the line and a win in the last game would have been a nice way to end the season (not that we do ever win it), we've ended strong and look good for next season so I can't recall a match I was less bothered about.

It is a hart, another word for male deer, which is the emblem for Hertfordshire, therein lies Watford. I am not a fountain of knowledge, I just googled it for your good self.

What about Gillingham vs Exeter at the Priestfield stadium 25th March 1995? Gillingham run out comfortable 3-0 winners, despite it being billed as a relatively close game, with both teams involved in a relegation scrap.

Exeter went on to finish bottom of the table and were to be relegated to non-league football, but winners of the Conference, Macclesfield Town, were deemed to have a stadium not fit for professional football so Exeter were granted a stay in the then 3rd division and Macclefield had to sort their **** out.
