This is pretty good, no, ecstatically good, news ... Forster was top of my list to see a new contract for.
Lack of ambition, clueless board etc. What superb news indeed - Fraser has been aces and JWP just needs to add a few more goals. Both great signings which I'm very happy with. Now, more please
Think I speak for us all when I say let's hope this is the start of a very inferential summer transfer window to the previous two seasons! We may lose Wanyama but aside from that I am confident of keeping all our players and making some brilliant additions. Koeman and Mane next please!
Agree about Mane - when he score he doesn't look pleased, he looks like ' of course I did, that's how good I am. Too good for you lot...'. Just show some joy FFS, you just scored in front of thousands of fans playing a game you love and getting paid shed loads to do it. phew.......*breathe*.....
He needs to sign at the press conference this afternoon - bet there'd still be questions about him leaving, though!
Just because he doesn't do a Tardelli style celebration it doesn't mean he doesn't care. He's just a laid back sort of person.
I yelled "Yes!" and did a victory shimmy in my seat when I read this. Luckily, I work with equally sports-mad people so they understood
Of course he cares, didn't you see him chase the ref for the match ball and stay on the pitch to wave to the fans after the Citeh game?
Pissing me off that Ron is being touted as the next Everton manager, as if he`d be desperate to go there if they snapped their fingers. Why have scouse when you can dine at Nando`s. Or something.
I would hardly call standing still while Andre Marriner took the ball out of his hands, grinned, and gave it back, chasing the ref. But certainly, Sadio did the right thing and stayed on the pitch; waved to the fans; did a couple of head balancing tricks, etc... And yeah, I think he does care. He gives plenty of little indications of that. I also think he's quite a shy and quiet lad, and the PL spotlight is a bit uncomfortable for him. Great player though.
I'll admit he does work hard, but then he would probably get a stern talking to if he was seen to drop his level of effort. I don't think it's coincidence he only seems to have good games against the better teams lately. It's just a feeling, only time will tell. Normally pretty good at reading people. I'd love to be wrong as he is a great player.
That rumour kicked off on talkSport yesterday with a Drivetime phone In with Joey Barton co-presenting backed up by whinging Blue's fans agreeing that RK is a shoe in for the Everton job
I was thinking the same, plus he could then invite all the media, who only wanted to talk to him about Everton/leaving in general, to leave the room, so he could then talk to those who wanted to talk about Saints. It would probably turn into a 1 to 1 with the Echo.
