Watford manager Quique Sánchez Flores will be in charge for his last game on Sunday, he's getting the elbow having only won three games this year. He can come here if he likes. please log in to view this image
He's done a really great job at Watford - he kept them up in 13th with 44 points (current standing) in his first season in the PL. Seems a totally ridiculous decision to me.
Theyve gone downhill since Igalho stopped scoring. That was always going to happen in his debut PL season so it's ridiculous. Who does transfers there - the manager, someone else or a committee?
I think the owners decide the transfer targets (including shifting players between their other clubs) and the manager just gets to manage them.
I don't know, it does seem a farcical set up. I'd be ecstatic with 13th place and 44 points. We've never managed that in our 4 attempts in the PL. Deeney and Ighalo have been brilliant for most of the season, and they have had a decent cup run. The Watford chairman must be off his rocker.
The main thing is, they havent looked at any stage all season as if they'll go down. That's a fantastic achievement after promotion.
I totally agree, whenever I have watched them on TV they've also achieved this playing really decent attacking football. The game they demolished Liverpool being one example.
I was wondering if I'd be doing one yesterday, as mid-morning SkyBet slashed the odds of Karl Robinson to Leeds from 33/1 to 1/1.
Can we please have a thread about managers who haven't done one, then the board would be less cluttered ta.
