Come on this is just newspaper speculation at this point, if we want to play hard ball we can still get £10M+ for him, especially as they are reporting multiple suiters. It does seem naive to have let his contract get to a final year, but it could be he held off signing a new one to see if we could stay up and obviously all players will be looking at the new TV deal and thinking they'd like a bit of it.

    Bah!

    Great post General.

I'm not a Tettey fan, far too negative, seems to see an invisible barrier on the half way line. People who sit around me have nicknamed him "Turn around Tettey"! I I agree with you, a creative midfielder in the Ian Crook mould would be wonderful.

Actually I am completely convinced he will leave, more so than any other player, I just think that we will screw a bit more money out of the club who buys him. £10M+ and I'd be happy. Less and not quite so much so. Let's remember the new TV deal should add an extra layer of stupidity to the fees being paid. Redmond with 1 year left we will sell, but Klose, Howson and Brady we have no need to with long contracts remaining.

    Bah!

An acquaintance in Norway seems to think his partner is unhappy in England and wants a return to Norway. Again, not sure of the accuracy of that, presumably came up in the Norwegian press? Can't imagine there's many Norwegian clubs who could afford his wages though, or the sort of transfer fee we'd want.

Might be a blessing in disguise if he goes our midfield has looked at lot more balanced since he was injured.

I actually hope he does leave, and we screw whoever is daft enough to buy him. I'm fed up watching him wandering around the pitch with his arms by his side. He only seems to turn up for 1 in 4 games then only takes part for about 20 minutes.
He should a legend at NCFC by now but he either doesn't want to be here or has gone as far as he can in his development. I still hear people saying he's still a youngster and is still learning, to that comment I say BAH!

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks Remond is lazy and not as good as he thinks he is.

That's the thing, I think most people outside of the club would over rate him. They see a highlight reel on match of the day and when a player like Redmond has a go, he is very exciting and he can sparkle. In 90 minutes he is all but anonimous and lazy and a defensive liability. Most don't see that, they just see the bright young thing who they think doen't get enough game time for such a star. I have said it before, but i think either Murphy would perform at least as well as Redmond. They have his pace and rawness, but I think they will have more passion and would have to work a bit harder, even the tea lady works harder!

    Bah!

Ian Wright said that on MOTD a couple of weeks ago, " Can't understand why he hasn't played more games"! Just shows what these so called pundits know or watch.

    *Swoop alert*
Apparently we're looking to swoop <doh> for Jordan Mutch from Palace.
This is a huge relief, as, if any truth in this, it seems bolstering the midfield is our first priority.
No matter about not scoring or conceding numerous goals due to individual errors. <yikes>

Seeing as he cost them over £5m, I imagine we won't be signing him if they want most of their money back. I rated him when he was at Cardiff, he appears to have stagnated a touch since but that seems to have been down to a lack of opportunities and playing in poor sides. In the championship I think he'd be excellent. Has a good range of passing and creativity, plus carries a goal threat. Mutch + £8m or so for Redmond would leave me pretty happy.

Isn't it a bit early for "swooping" to start taking place? Surely this only occurs in the latter part of a transfer window. Still hacks like to dramatise their ficticious drivel.

Indeed so! We'll be "snapping people up" <doh> and "swooping" to our little hearts content soon enough.
    Fictitious drivel! <ok> <laugh>

As the General says in a later post, he might have made a reasonable 'tea lady'! Second thoughts on that, wouldn't want to wait 70mins for a Cupppa! Never reached his potential in my humble opinion.

    F**king hate the Sun.

    This article is also lazy.

    "Norwich will need to sell"...

I would be surprised if Redmond, Klose, Howson AND Brady ALL got moved on.

Re: Dorrans and Mulumbu. Wouldn't be gutted if Mulumbu found a new club, just didn't work for him or us. No objections to keeping Dorrans, competition for places in midfield is a good thing.
