Got some transfer news of my own, actually...
You may have noticed I've been pretty inactive the last few days.
Well, yesterday I went for a job interview and today, I got a phone call to tell me that I have got the job.
As of June, I will be a full-time employee in the role of 'Multimedia Journalist' at Arsenal Football Club.
Even if I stop posting, I'll still be reading. Thanks to everyone who's shown their support for what I've been doing for the past few years.
Oh and still... Up The Saints!
Board? Poch & Spuds will have meltdown. Well done. Hope all goes well as a stepping stone to greater things.Congratulations DTLW!!
This board will have a real meltdown without you. I'm scared already.
PS - Have a word with Ox when u arrive there.
Haha, right you were! I tried to keep relatively tight-lipped on it as I know they've been combing the internet and spying on me. Plus, I didn't want to make a tit of myself if it didn't go to plan. Thankfully it did.
Yep, best press facilities in the country - looking forward to getting started. Many congratulations, I understand from journalists that the media facilities at arsenal are the best in the country. So you've given yourself a great opportunity.
Are you allowed to do any freelance work whilst under contract?
Clearly there is a sea change due at arsenal in the not too distant future and that will bring lots of challenges. Will be a great experience.
Congratulations DTLW!!

Congratulations DTLW I almost feel like a proud father.

Congrats DTLW, very well deserved.

Congratulations DTLW. The development of your career in journalism has been one of the highlights of being on here. Hopefully you're still around a fair bit. Perhaps one of your first jobs at Arsenal will be to cover Oxo's return.

Sign da ting!!Saints yet again handing Wanyama a long term contract. I guess it will be the last attempt.
Hope you have good health insurance.
Southampton transfers to Arsenal tend to get injured a lot.
Congratulations DTLW. Have read a lot of your stuff and think your rise is really deserved for all the hard work you put in. Hope you continue to post and keep us all updated on how everything goes. All the best!
Congrats DTLW. You've proved what hard work can still achieve.
Can we start moaning about you like we do the other press guys now?Ha, I'll have to watch my step...! It'll be weird seeing Chambers, AOC and Theo around, come to think of it.
Thanks for that, I appreciate it. Will be sure not to become a total stranger.
That's very kind of you Archers, thank you.
That's too kind of you, Puck. It's bizarre that it started off with me posting on 606 and blogging as a 13/14 year old and has progressed through everything else to this full-time position so quickly.
I'll be around as much as I can.![]()

If he doesn't want it he doesn't want it. We've proved we can do without Morgan. Not sure if the reverse is true. Same with Victor. Confident we'll get an excellent replacement if he thinks the grass is greener elsewhere.Saints yet again handing Wanyama a long term contract. I guess it will be the last attempt.
