Thought the card would have the seat number on it - bad form if it doesn't. Will pop up and say hello either just before k.o. or half time if that's ok!
I know a little area with a very good gastro pub near there. I'll check it out as I can't remember it's name. It's like a little complex/village within a short drive of celtic Manor. I was there for my mates wedding at Celtic Manor and we ate the night before at this place. I'll find out.
Why is it taking so long to announce the Officials for Sundays game? Just came up as Sunday 15th May 2016 15:00 Southampton v Crystal Palace Referee: Michael Oliver Assistants :- G Beswick & L Betts. 4th Official:- K Stroud He has Refereed us for three games this Season, we have lost them all!
Great, thanks Fats!! We're playing St. Pierre on Monday, Newport GC Tuesday and Vale of Glamorgan on Wednesday. I firmly predict that by Wednesday evening, I shall be completely knackered ..................
Lucky bugger. My mate looked at St Pierre for the wedding too. He chose the Celtic Manor and guess what prat broke his wrist 2 weeks before the wedding and couldn't play golf?
Everything points to a Saints win. We're in fantastic form, we're scoring goals, we've got something to play for. Crystal Palace have nothing to play for in the league, have been generally pretty terrible in 2016, and will be more concerned about avoiding injuries and keeping everyone fresh for the cup final. Plus we're at home. We're gonna win 5-1
Great. My smart card is my members card, so they just upload it on the system. If I had forgotten the seat number, I think I could have signed into my account and retrieved it.
Right, so how will it go on Sunday. 1. Saints will score several early goals to settle the fans nerves and produce a party atmosphere. 2. Saints will drag out a 0-0 scoreline (or even let in a goal) before settling the match late on when half the crowd are receiving medical attention. 3. Saints lose the match after leading twice. Option1, you are a recent though loyal fan and your life is full of kittens and flowers. Option 2, you have been here before but have not had all hope destroyed. Option 3, you have been here before and still wake up screaming about losing an FA Cup match 4-3 (after leading 3-0).
Option 4: You are a lifelong Saints fan but decided to shake off the emotional baggage years ago. 4-0, 3-0, 4-2, 3-1, 2-0, I don't care. I have to answer your posts when you give examples of all Saints fans because I never recognise myself.
Sorry for butting in chaps but I'm 99% sure I've had a pint in there while on a break from biking to Saundersfoot in SW Wales. Nice pub as I remember. Coincidence is a bit unreal, but these things happen.
Not at all, old chap. Thanks for the info - and thanks, Fats, hopefully I can persuade the others to head that way ...........
Saints win. It's in the bag. Arrived at the Ritz-Carlton in Tenerife and they have upgraded us to a private villa for free. All because I'm a saints fan. Well the second bit may not be true, but the way things are going for me I think Europa is in the bag! COYR!!!![emoji41] please log in to view this image
I have a feeling we'll win 9-0 and break a record or 2 - but it would be more Saints to have to wait the whole match for a last second goal (and I remember Tranmere!)
I've rarely (if ever), been so confident that we'll not only win, but win comfortably. So now I'm nervous that I'm so confident. Way to go brain.
I'm the other way round. It's those Italian genes coming to my aid too. Tbf, I exaggerate. Takes about 30 minutes.
I've just realised something, if we beat Palace, we will finish above the Scousers for the first time in the top flight (unless we did it in the '60s), the last remaining club. Yet another reason to celebrate this record breaking season... EDIT: i've just checked and I think it will be the first time ever that we have finished above them at any level. We HAVE to beat Palace.
