Does anyone else remember that Carling Cup match we had at St James Park back in 2008 where the stadium was 2/3 empty, and those who did turn up were voicing their grievances against Mike Ashley? I'm almost expecting this weekend will be a repeat of that.
Yedlin is still a way off Walker and Trippier, from what I've seen of him this season. He has a lot of work to do.
One more year at Sunderland should do it Look what that year did for Danny, they were desperate to keep him.
No one ever is. I find it strange how everyone apart from Swansea have an extra gear for us...oh and Norwich.
It always baffles me why Spurs players go to Newcastle and Sunderland, I bet Andros feels like death warmed up. Defoe just avoids the Championship, Bent?, the least said the better. Have I missed any? Why go to losers?
Frank De Boer steps down as manager of Ajax. Intriguing development there - he was one we were closely linked with before Poch arrived if I recall correctly. Everton seems the logical destination...but could his assistant Mr Bergkamp be whispering in his ear about Arsenal?
Spurs have the largest annual increase in value. The last operating income is ~3x that of Chelsky, even though those vermin have 63% more revenue. Kroenke must also be getting worried that the Poool look like soon catching the Goons and taking their 'financial prudence' cup from them.
Weird timing tbh, must be some linkage between the two - Kenwright probably pressed the big red button as soon as FDB made his announcement as there is every chance another club will snap him up before the end of the season - Everton need to move quickly. Also prevents their last game at home being a toxic nightmare for the players and staff.
Everton, to their credit have been fair and patient towards their managers but to lose 3-0 to relegation fodder's a step too far. Would have been for anybody.
Time for Everton to remove some of their slackers as well. They have a neucleus of an interesting team.
For a club like Everton to have one win in the last 10 PL games is really unacceptable. Too many PL club players on good money nowadays who can switch to autopilot once they are not relegation candidates.
