I wonder who told the media about it? <cough> Fergie <cough> Seems too open to have been anything too dodgy, to be honest. I expect it's an attempt to open dialogue for the future, once Mourinho's been and gone.
Fergie met Poch for two reasons (a) to beg him not to nick any United youth players, and (b) to get some advice on how to build a team from scratch.
Poch wants the UTD job, to be fair you cant blame him, big pot of cash, players with quality hair and the most import thing top players like...... ... OK maybe not top players, but that will change when we sign Slippy G
It's obvious what's happened. Fergie called Poch. They got into some verbals at which point Fergie offered him out for a "meet". Poch declined. Fergie called him a coward. All he'd wanted was to have some tea and scones! Poch feeling like he may have been a little hasty, decided to go meet Fergie for tea and scones, not realising someone had pissed in his tea.
Must have been an interesting conversation, because that is two of the most unintelligible ****s ever to give a post match interview. Whatever they had to say to each other, it's hard to imagine either of them knowing what the other was mumbling about.
Scotts of Mayfair ... private function rooms downstairs ... went there for a hosted event last year ... they give you home made truffles with your coffee ... all very nice ...
Mourinho was there too, filling his old role as an interpreter. Had to go out the back though or he might've got poloniumed up by Abramovich.
