Jonathan Edwards has penned a one-year deal with the Club after enjoying a successful trial with the U21s. please log in to view this image He's a 19 year old striker, he's played three first team games for Peterborough.
He's a Bedford lad. I know him reasonably well. Big lad, runs channels, lives and breathes it. Desperate to make it. Was training with Watford too at one point. Not sure where it went wrong at Peterborough. Definitely worth a punt. Has a proper goal in his locker. I think he'll fit in well with Pennock and the U21's
To be honest, Edwards looked better than some of the forwards we currently have on our books so could his release have been a mistake? Only time will tell. http://www.peterborough.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=446647#ixzz48RRaA3f9
I look forward to his career unfolding in a similar vein to other promising youngsters we've signed in the past, i.e. 3 seasons of reserve team appearances, a token first team appearance away at Walsall in the league cup, loan to Halifax and ultimate release to York City.
Big lad, good in the air and holds it up well. Played for the Ressies at the KC t'other week. Think i said he looked good then. Definitely a good signing.
You know what… if it all goes tits over the next week or so, I'll look forward to next season if there's a promise that whoever replaces Bruce gives the youngsters a chance.
