The lad is still held in high regard up here.

It was great to see him up here for tonight's game.

If you guys ever tire of him, he'll be most welcome with us.

As for next season, good luck lads! Now you've overtaken the unmentionables, just stay there!

Oh and thanks for Kaboul!! He's been immense, just immense!

The last 2-3 months, he's been like a 21 year old again.

The guy has played with incredible pride, passion and professionalism since he signed for us, but the last few months he's been a giant!

Any other cast offs you'd like to throw away during the summer, you know which club to call.

Good luck in the Champions League lads!

Cheers BM, congrats, and thanks for doing us a favour by hopefully sucking the life out of the Mags before our game at the weekend <ok>

Didn't realise Danny made the trip up that's nice to see. There's a hint of regret about Kaboul's Spurs career, was obviously very talented but had a run of poor form and supposedly fell out badly with the club heirarchy. Glad to see he's settled in, and you're more than welcome to more of our cast offs.

Oh, and excellent to see our JD is making something of the twilight of his career.

Delighted to hear about Kaboom, he was a fan favourite here and widely tipped as Ledley's successor. It was a shame to see him go but the stats don't lie we've improved immensely at the back since then. Also pleased to see Jermain continue to deliver the goods at this level - I'd have him back at the Lane in a heartbeat tbh and we should never have sold him.

A few of us were discussing Yedlin's progress up there this season...what are your thoughts?

Just a few weeks ago you wouldn't have heard many positives about Yedlin from us.

He's a fast little bugger and likes to get forward but don't ask him to defend. Quite a few teams realised he was our weakness at the back.

Then just a few weeks back the penny seemed to drop and his defending improved considerably. He's also had a few assists and the fans have warmed to him.

Sunday will be his last game for us though. I don't think he'll be coming back after the summer. He'll get a handshake and a pat on the back but I doubt there'll be a follow-up bid for him.

As for JD, he's made himself a legend up here. To think that Advocaat had him playing at left back!!!

We'd have been sunk months ago without him.

He'll need help next season though. He's not getting any younger.

Good to see Big Sam stay up. I think he belongs in the PL, great character.

Absolutely delighted for the ex Spurs. JD is still one of our boys. He doesn't get the offside rule but he knows where the onion bag is.

Truth is we're well stocked at FB as it is so the most sensible thing to do is probably to loan him out again to a PL side and hope he gets the game time to push up his market value, the sell. But you never know - your description of him sounds like an early version of Kyle Walker so perhaps there's a future for him yet...

Thanks Blunham and huge congrats mate, was rooting for you guys. Was saying just last night that Sunderland supporters have been the only fans in my time of going to the Lane in which I've been able to enjoy good banter with after the matches, great bunch of lads with a quality sense of humour.

Was buzzing to see JD and Kaboul stay in the Prem, hope Yedlin also done OK for you guys (good chance you could sign him I reckon as I can't see him getting ahead of Walker or Trippier at the moment). I mentioned on your board at the start of the season that Kaboul is a beast when on form, he just suffered a really bad injury and a shocking dip in form here that cost him his place - along with a spat with Poch - but there's no doubting that on his day he's up there with some of the best. As for JD, love seeing him do well, absolute legend here and I'd personally welcome him back any day of the week if he wanted to return, would love it if Woy took him to the Euro's now seeing as Welbeck is out long term.

Rose is nailed on a first teamer here I'm afraid, his past two seasons for us have been great and I genuinely believe he's developed into the country's best LB.

All the best for next season <ok>

If we could guarantee him turning into another Walker I'd drive him back up to the SoL to sign on myself.

You never know though, maybe Big Sam may have been swayed the last few weeks to bring him back.

I'll be heading down to see Spurs play next season. My lad's a Spurs fan!

Good luck in Europe next season lads!!

    Cheers mate <ok>

Watching Kaboul drive out of the box and go past 4 players, each one fouling him before they finally brought him down, even had the neutrals in the pub screaming for us in the end!!

We've had a few good lads from you guy's in the past. Danny, Steeeeed and Malbranque just for starters!

I'm glad Sunderland made it, their supporters deserve some success, maybe you can do a Leicester next season, well just behind Spurs anyway.
JD is such a reliable scorer of goals, our decision to sell him AGAIN looks very wrong now. I think he might have made the difference for us in a number of games this season if he'd come on as a sub, he certainly did for Sunderland.

Many of us were skeptical about Rose before this season, not any more!

£80m and you can have JD back <laugh>

I hope to see Danny in an England shirt for a long time to come!

There's no reason he can't make himself a regular fixture in the side now!!

When you look at the sky money JD is probably worth more to you than 80m.

Haha yeah he's an animal, we used to chant "Kaboul! Kaboul! Kaboul is on fire!" such was his beastly displays when on form.

Steeeed! What a player he was.

Sounds a lot like the Danny Rose from 2-3 seasons ago, too.

Sunderland are important to Spurs as a PL club to which we can loan Academy talent
for the final stages of their development. Arguably more so given that Villa and QPR
(our traditional partners) are/may not be PL regulars for a while.

IMHO Yedlin has been fortunate that Sunderland agreed to take him on loan this season,
as on development he is at best probably at the level Walker was when he was loaned to QPR.
