The emotions shown by the players and staff were absolutely brilliant. It stretched from tears to huge grins and hugs. The best part that I liked was that not one of them showed grimaces or clenched fists.<applause>

Gotta mean something when the likes of Kaboul, Kone and others have tears streaming down their cheeks. Fair set me off - nearly.

Was Big Sam conducting chants of "the mags are going down" with a huge smile on his face?

Yeah tho I think he was angling for us to sing his song (by removing his jacket) which we duly obliged.

Even with a half full stadium at the end of the game we were still a wall of noise. Never before have a heard the buildup to shearer is a ****er like I did tonight. Shook me bones.

More of that please lads. Keep that up all year (easier said than done I know) and we'll not struggle quite so often.

It's video's of occasions like this which will sell our club to prospective incoming players, as Sam said in his interview we have the facilities, Sam has given this squad belief and with the right signings we might just might get a mid table, comfortable season next time around, here's hoping.

Must be having a good thought tonight about how things turn out sometimes .
I know " Big Sam " is a professional " but I really don't think he likes Newcastle and its fans very much ....

Don't brew on it mate. Easy advice and easily ignored, I know.

Best advice, switch off, walk away and defuse the situation.

It's usually easier discussed the next day, with just a little humility and respect from both sides.

If that don't work, an uppercut and a taxi on hold nearby will also work.

Understandable really. They were no kinder to him than W Ham.

Couldn`t be a better fit for us imo. Still has no relegation on his cv. Considering the challenge he had when coming here that`s no mean achievement.

He`s done bloody well & I expect Short to back him to take it to the next step

Just back from the town which was absolutely bouncing, but all I could think of was a mate of mine who died suddenly just over two years ago after a match that we had stood together supporting the lads..

Nothing wrong with that at all mate. Accept his memory and, more importantly, think how he`d feel about it. That`s the bit that matters. Draw in those feelings. They are his. <ok>

That is how football and mateship gets you Reg. All this season I have desperately missed a long time mate who died last year and was a Gooner, ,our after match phone calls were greatly missed.
