So does anyone give a dam about next years olympic's ?

I know it's a world event but apart from my team getting a free stadium
out of the deal and Usain Bolt possibly breaking the world record at
the 100m,the rest is just blase.

you're correct. no-one gives a flying **** about shooting, fencing, handball, rowing, canoeing, equestrian, archery, synchronized swimming, sailing, badminton or judo. i really could go on. so really, we've spent 9 billion plus on something that will last under 10 seconds.

    utter ****e.

As an after thought we are suppose to be taking part
in this GB football team, might be interesting as a side show but any player worth his salt will be too busy with Euro 2012,so this means the England B/GB team will be taking part.

Jeez, this forum is full of such negative people. As a matter of fact, 100M is not one of the events I'm most interested in. The events I'm most interested in are:

    Fencing
    Tennis
    Table Tennis
    Beach Volleyball
    Hockey
    Football
    Volleyball
    Swimming
    Archery (which is the best)
    Maybe some others too.

So I would appreciate it if you didn't tell me what I'm interested in, thank you very much Jordan.

I like the boxing, especially the way the judges always favour the home nation.

I don't mind what sports people are interested in or not, but people do seem to be quite negative about the whole thing in general. It was simply an observation. Also there's no point in resorting to insults.

Hockey and Archery I play myself (admittedly not recently), hence my interest in them. Beach volleyball can be interesting when there's long rallies and people diving all over the place to return shots and so on and table tennis can also be quite fun when there's long rallies in my opinion.

No, not having an interest doesn't make you negative, it's how you express your lack of interest that determines whether you're negative or not. Screaming about it being a complete waste of time and money and boycotting it for example, that's quite negative. Anyway, it's just an observation based on a few threads I've seen and wasn't a dig at anyone. If someone wants to be negative about it, then that's their choice and I respect their opinion even if I don't necessarily agree with it.

I don't see how class has anything to do with it.

Well you played Archery for a starters,I dont think you would find many Archery clubs
within the council estates through out the country..

If someone does not enjoy something and decides to let people know about it
on a forum, why does this upset you ? sure come back with why you feel different
but you took the high ground by calling everyone else negative ?

So once again I call it class thing,If I had a fencing and archery club within a few miles of my town maybe I would feel different...

As it is I have Football,Rugby and cricket club's,which I am guessing is the norm' for a lot of people throughout the country
