Peter Park runs tomorrow @ Salisbury but think it will be a non runner so that's why there's no post from me, as grounds gone to soft with all the rain. Got an entry @ donny on saturday and its firm at the moment so i'd imagine it will go there instead and then win
I wrote out more detailed reasoning for these and the page crashed, so now I am keeping it short and sweet, apologies. York 2,10 Son of Africa 16-1 EW Down in class, still rated by trainer good bet. 3.45 Hors De Combat 16-1 EW Down in class at last! Good horse and first chance he has had to get his head in front for a long while. 3.15 Choreographer 20-1 EW Very good maiden winner and could be anything at 20-1 a good each way bet. EW singles and an EW treble
Not putting much up on here these days but one I particularly fancy tomorrow; LUCKY BEGGAR 16/1 York 2.10 Caught my eye last time when racing on his own and was prominent for a long way. Down to a very handy mark and the booking of Ed Greatrex catches the eye. He is probably the best 5lb claimer in the business at the moment. The yard hasn't started the season brilliantly but look on course to turn the corner and this one looks great value to my eye. William Hill are one of those with the top headline price and they go five places for you each way thieves.
Whilst So Mi Dar was visually impressive in her Musidora victory and certainly deserves her place at Epsom, the race was not truly run and she did well after being too keen early on. Whether the opposition were any good remains to be seen although Fireglow might be a reliable marker. Magical Memory continued on his upward curve in the Duke Of York but Timeless Son was very disappointing, never really placed to make any sort of a challenge at the business end of the race. Hopefully he will come on for his first start of the season. Thursday presents the possibility of actually finding something to bet on! Naturally I hope that Midterm wins the Dante as convincingly as So Mi Dar won the Musidora to cement his position at the top of the Derby market. After a couple of reverses, Foundation is in last chance saloon: if he does not feature this time it will be back to the drawing board. I cannot say that I have any idea why Deauville is representing Ballydoyle as he has been put in his place on a couple of occasions and I see no reason why he should win here – his odds would be treble what they are if he was trained by anyone else. Whilst the field is numerically large there are at least half a dozen also-rans on form. The Middleton features another strong line up of older fillies and mares. After her poor showing at the Guineas meeting, I cannot see grounds for supporting Crystal Zvedza. George Strawbridge’s filly Journey is closely matched with Beautiful Romance on Champions’ Day form but I feel that both of them probably would prefer more juice in the ground and further. The Gosden filly may try to make all and set the race up for last year’s Oaks third LADY OF DUBAI, now trained by in-form Roger Varian having been removed from improving Koora’s trainer Luca Cumani by the owner.
PP have Journey at 5/2 tomorrow.. Provided she has trained on (always a risk with fillies) she looks good value but should be viewed in the paddock before investing
If it wasn't for Spencer riding I would fancy Brando at 6/1. Improving sprinter who has started his 4yo career with an impressive victory. Can't oppose Midterm and 13/8 is tempting 3/1 for the improving Exist also looks value
Off down to Salzburg for a couple of days, back Saturday when I think I may have a hot one for my Saturday flutter. Know none of you will stay too frosty waiting for it! .... please log in to view this image Good luck today and tomorrow guys!
Victory Bond has been tipped for the Dante by Racing Post. Comments on his last run ended with 'promising' but I was less impressed when I watched the video as in 2nd was Stoutes UNDER ATTACK, who was having 4th chance in a maiden and was actually eased down. I'm hoping Choreographer can book a place at Epsom for my antepost vouchers but recognise that it's a significant step up from his Windsor maiden. Betfair exchange endorse his chances with the fact they don't list him in the Derby market
Hello, all. Disappointed to see that Peter Park doesn’t run here in Wiltshire later on today. I had asked a member of the ‘county set’ to go to Salisbury (a junior grade member. No offence, people, but I wasn’t going to bother the Chairman or the Board) and represent the forum but that types day out has now been cancelled. Hopefully though, one of the most eagerly awaited runs in forum history, will occur at the weekend.

Duke of Firenze has been given a real chance now by the handicapper and looked to be capable of running upto the required level lto at Lingfield. Taken a bit of the 12/1 for him in the opener at York.
