If you don't want to go through , you'll have to lose to Bournemouth then Chief . We are going to hit City so hard and so often on Sunday , they'll think they are surrounded . I got to say though , I'm starting to believe the ditch LVG group , that was pretty bad yesterday .
LVG should stay until Poch is ready. Poch would be the ideal long term replacement. Jose et al.are short term fixes... It would be another painful season or two for you, but long term you'll get your man. Unless SAF is making progress over these lunches they're having? I honesty wouldn't know where I stood on this if I were a Utd fan, but I'd probably sway towards what I'm saying above.
That IS my thinking. It changes if we end this season empty handed though as I genuinely believe he deserves to be dismissed then. It would seem likely that this is where Mourinho steps in, which wouldn't exactly be the end of the world. I don't think I agree with Roofer either, I think City will know they've had a reprieve and make enough effort to not lose on Sunday. Even they should be capable of that.
I wouldn't give Mourinho the sweat of my bag . Waiting for the "Right " man to be available , before taking a managerial position serious , is wasting time . You make a decision on who's running the team at the first of the season , and you treat him like he is the last manager you will ever have and let it fall apart on the guy at his own speed from there . As a manager goes along , he learns things about the team .I'm a firm believer in give a manager more time , especially with a young team . Man U look pretty bad , as they fight the last day for a Champions League spot .in a very competitive Top ten season ........imagine if they started playing not pretty bad as the team stumbles along .
Top 4 is still on, given citeh's implosion and I can't understand how you're discounting the chance of the cup. You sound like MITO
I can't see Palace beating Utd. I can see City beating Swansea though! 5th and the FA Cup looks likely.
Zaha is desperate to prove we treated him like a **** and that he's going to make us regret it. Everytime we play them he goes on a one man crusade. He's a dick ofcourse but by the law of averages he might actually do something in the Cup final.
We'll definitely lose to Palace. We were always going to win the semi final and then lose the final. It's how the philosophy works.
The Europa is almost guaranteed and the FA a very strong possibility. So United won't be exactly empty handed (unlike the deluded RS returning home from Basel with their eggs on their faces instead of in their single basket). But no denying the underachievement, the **** football, the weird selections, the dreadful sleep inducing philosophy. Even with the FA cup, LVG would need to go. Even at a cost of several millions. A new manager brings hope no matter who he is.
Regardless of whether we scrape 4th or not - it won't be because we achieved it, it will be because ££££ let it slip. Any silverware this season cannot paper over the cracks and if Woodward and the board are waiting to see what happens at Swansea to decide on whether LvG is the man for next season, then more fool them. The days of having someone like SAF establish a dynasty of leadership at any club are now long gone, in fact the argument for a regular change of manager to re-invigorate the squad and bring new tactics and talent seems to be the way forward. We need rid of LvG, we need Poch or Jose for 3 years then change again - all of the successful teams in Europe operate that way - why should we be any different.
I'm a firm believer that the table does not lie but should we somehow get fourth then in this case it very definitely does!!!
No it doesn't, if we manage to get 4th it will mean we have performed better than 16 other teams over the course of the season. What it wont show is how poor the other 16 teams have been.
I remember reading reports in December when the so called experts on BBC were predicting Liverpool and Chelsea would finish above United. The hate for this club of ours in the media serious has no bounds. So no! There would never be an highlight reel on how bad the other 16 teams have been but you can bet your top dollar they would be talking about how lucky we are.
We would have been lucky. I accept that the rest weren't much better but at least they've attacked and scored plenty goals, we haven't. We've just ground out points. The table doesn't lie, quite correct, but that doesn't mean we will have truly justified it. Moot point anyway, City are unlikely to lose on Sunday and we are unlikely to win.
