http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-36262197 Images of Elizabeth Line stations released. Modern and bright...ok, but each station is claimed to reflect the local area. One station has diamond shaped tiles to reflect the jewellery quarter. Tottenham is black and glass to reflect the nocturnal nature of the area....so any resemblance to the local area is so subtle as to pass over the head of every normal human being. Efficient and uncluttered....fine, but don't pretend there is anything else going on.
Perhaps they could call it Three Prats in a Tent...would avoid any trouble under the trades description act.
Not really a big thing if she is. Plenty of rich do it. But to come out with the same excuse "privacy" as all the rest have is sad. Her acting is a disgrace though.
Very enjoyable Fable rehearsal last night for the Great Escape Festival next weekend. Band and her get bored with an hour to go so started off the cuff jamming Bob Marley tracks - Is This Love and Stir It Up. Was something to see - not played it before and one of them said "yeah I think it's C#" and they just went and did it straight off. Ridiculously talented bunch!
*whispers* - check it out. She'll kill me if she knows I did this, so no telling! (Talent with this, I mean the band more than her on this occasion!)
Honestly none of them had played it before. They all knew the song, obviously, but just went "yeah, what key, okay...." and then that.
Desperately sad news about Sally Brampton. Her book "Shoot The Damn Dog" is the best, most helpful book about depression there is. It has been a source of so much inspiration for very many people I'm close to, and has helped me on more than one occasion too. She suffered terribly herself, and finally took her own life yesterday. RIP. http://www.theguardian.com/media/20...de-elle-girls-the-new-normal?CMP=share_btn_tw
So sad - it seemed as if she'd turned a corner, but that dog is always there waiting if you're not careful. Everyone needs to be aware of the fight that many people have to keep afloat, even though outwardly they appear ok. RIP Sally Brampton
Sholing school are a disgrace. A little boy (who is a friend of my god daughter) has been getting bullied for ages. Today a gang of boys beat him up today, kicking him so hard in the stomach he wet himself. The mum went to the school and they said they will help her get a move to a different school and help moving to a new council house. How the **** can that be right?
Christ, the whole 'waiting for the phone call' routine when you really want a job is painful. The good news - as I've shared elsewhere - is that I've got the job. As of June, I'll be full-time with Arsenal Football Club as 'Multimedia Journalist'. I wanted to say thanks to everyone on not606. After all, 606 is where I got into writing online and it all came from that. I've had plenty of encouragement from the good folk on here, so thanks for encouraging me. I'll try and hang around on here, but I'll be a bit pushed from now on. Onwards and upwards and up the Saints!
Outrageous. Someone needs to sort those bullies (and their parents out), but, of course, nothing will be done. And then people wonder why we're in such a state as a country. They should name and shame - bring back the stocks, I say.
Great stuff, DTLW! Many congratulations! Here's hoping your job is coupled with Arsenal's demise as a "big club" - no reflection on you or your skills of course!
