Yeah, I mean, who wins a title then gets a double digit amount of losses and finishes midtable the following season?
I hope you didn't take my prediction to heart mate! Just a gut feeling regarding yourselves. I think you'll have a hangover next year although I can see a decent run at the Champions League which will also distract you from the league. We will see matey
For the time in ages I have not a clue who will win the premier league next season. Maybe City, depending on who they sign and how quickly Pep gets adjusted to this league. Chelsea, exactly the same as City. If United keep LvG and Arsenal keep Wenger then they are ruled out for me. Liverpool are a mystery too, Klopp seems decent, but their squad sucks balls and they need a overhaul. Leicester and Spurs have CL football next season, Spurs will cope with that better having more experience in Europe, I see a top 4 finish for Spurs but probably not the title. If I had to guess where Leicester will end up, i'd say 5th or 6th.
... not at all ... as I said ... it can happen ... but if we hold on to our key men over the summer and further strengthen, I see no reason why we won't carry on where we left off this ... but I do expect a couple of the Sky4, at least, to mount serious sustained challenges next season ...
Soz fili boy, i can see you guys finishing outside the Top 4 as fun as you're ride to the top has been.... here is why: 1. Squad Depth, i presume you will be having a go at the carling cup and FA cup (well better go than this year). Added with champs league and i dont think you could get away with the players you have right now 2. Injuries, you've done amazing to have hardly any injuries, but everyone knows with additional games there is a higher chance of injury 3. You were involved in high scoring games at the beginning and low scoring games at the end, i think you could maintain your attack but if you go back to the grind out victories again, it's not normally a formula that can be sustained. 4. You are now a big scalp for everyone in the league as champions, teams just naturally play harder against you 5. There was no pressure on you this year and you've performed brilliantly then when the pressure was on you rode it out. Starting next season there will be expectations of your team throughout the year and that will take its toll. Enjoy your time as champions!
... if we keep our best players I expect us to be up there battling for top 6 ... think the older lads still have a couple of seasons in them and the 'emerging' talents will be even better .... I'd like to think we wouldn't finish outside the top 6 ... can't see everyone else improving whilst we deteriorate tbh ...
Pooch has clearly seen the camera and is trying to leg it, obviously not wanting his secret meeting with Fergie to be revealed. I'd suggest that Fergie has either been telling Pooch how the Utd job is his if he wants it, or that Utd will be buying Kane in the summer. He probably also said something along the lines of 'If you want to keep Kane, then you'd better take the Utd job'
.1, The aim is to add to the squad with real quality whilst hopefully keeping our key players from tis seaon. We went through the first 2 rounds of the Capital One cup before going out on penalties (beating a virtually full strength West Ham with our rerserves in the second game). FA Cup 3rd round - our reserves were 2 -1 up way at Spurs with seconds to go before the ref gave them an absurd penalty lifeline - we'll have a far better squad in terms of depth this time around. 2. The injury front isn't kust good frtune - we seem to be way ahead of most on player health and recovery management - cryogenic chambers and electronic monitoring vests in training 3. What we do is adpat to the situation - we ground out the one nils when we needed to (in contrast to our nearest rivals I'd add) ,,, but we have scored 7 in our last two home games (and missed a penalty) we had 33 attempts on goal against Everton 4 True ... but we have had to deal with that to some degree snce going top in January ... whilst we are the Champions we remain Leicester City and I suspect clubs will raise their games just as much, if not more so for the 'usual suspects' 5 No pressure ... one of the favourites for relegation and confidently expected to have our bubble burst since January? .. end of season before we were under tremendous pressure in our last 10 games to survive .. won 8 drew 1 lost 1 ... we are VERY godd at handling pressure. Wehave actually lost only 4 of our last 47 consecutive Premier leagu games ... no other single team comes even close to that ... Now everything you have said might be the way things turn out ... but if you take my 5 points and, just for a second, change our team name to Man United or Chelsea ... I suspect you would not come to the same conclusions that you have
Poch is easy pickings for the old master Fergie. He probably got Poch to dance on the table while he sipped 18th century red wine.
They're in denial on this forum. "He is just taking the opportunity to talk to a great manager. Nothing wrong with that". Ferguson just happened to be nearby and thought, I know, I'll go and have a meal and I wont try and tempt this highly rated manager to the club I'm associated with. Tomorrow I hear he's going for a meal with Gary Megson just for the hell of it too
What has me confused on " what will Leicester do next season " is the size of the discrepancy between them and the rest of the teams in points . Two things it tells me ..1: this was a continuation of 7 wins from 9 games at the end of last season to survive . 2: this wasn't a one off . And Raineri will have anybody the club can land for him next season IMO . How the team pans out over the summer will show more .
