I can see we're never going to agree on this mate, I'd never expect them to pay anywhere near the cost of building the stadium but the cost of converting it (or at least more than the pittance they were asked to contribute) and a higher rate of rent which they could easily afford as a premier league club wouldn't have been unreasonable. As I said before who could blame west ham for taking this opportunity it's whoever negotiated on behalf of the tax payer that I think has ****ed up.
But there's no deficit, the Olympics made a big contribution to the kitty in the country. Easily paid for the stadium and the re-fit, it's public funds that would never be put into another pot, like health care or whatever. Nobody's tax is funding it if you look at it like that. Speaking of West Ham, their fans have just trashed the United team bus, classy, I hope we ****ing ruin their stupid little party in their dump of a stadium.
So do I, Tel Hammer them (excuse that) 'United, and give them something memorable to reminisce about later
I was always under the impression that the olympics didn't make that much money in the end, never seen the statistics for it like so I might well be wrong. As for the fans bottling your bus, just shows a lack of class hope you beat them tonight now
The whole thing stinks , these international shindigs are just troughs for snouts, we never get anywhere near the benefits we are promised by the likes of Lord Noe and his international cronies, if we think it has ended with Blatter we are fools. Wembley is just another case, no need for it to be built in the first place, the worlds most famous cup competition has been shafted just to help bandage over the huge losses incurred. The provinces robbed of any semi final spin-offs, all the money ending up in the south east, no wonder they can afford all these season tickets, wonder how many empty seats we see if the Hammers struggle after twelve months ? That feels better .
Kick off delayed til 8 .30. Manure left it late getting to the ground and got stuck in traffic, same thing happened to them at Spurs I think, some people never learn.
Sullivan said check the bus there will be no damage - funny looks like broken windows to me like ****er come on man u
Tel. Don't like anyone reporting anything negative about your club, I'm just quoting what's on the BBC website, no need to get your knickers in a twist.
Well read the ****ing board you're posting on before scribbling your outdated **** down like a chump reporter thinking you've got an exclusive... It takes 2 minutes to read these posts. So maybe if our team bus wasn't being smashed up we'd have got there as scheduled.
Once east london dock scum, always east london dock scum. Mind you, Van Gaal needs his arse kicked for deliberately being late yet again Sky too. Why all this coverage for yet another ground closing? Never happened when Roker Park went. Ridiculous over-hype for a mediocre london club x
It's like going back to the 70s with the I.C.F. scum that they were then . . . . the ****ing animals The same men (not little girls) will, no doubt, soon be singing the most embarrassing, girly, song that has even been sung at a football ground ('cos they've just scored what I hope will be their consolation goal) How ****ing embarrassing . . . . the stupid, infantile, twats
