I was there and have a hell of a story about the day. I came back from Italy, without a ticket. In the tube station nearest to Wembley, there was someone from Sheffield United selling the tickets they'd been given, for cost price! I got one, as did my brother. Always had a soft spot for the Blades since.
Went down without a ticket - couldn't get one outside the ground for a sensible price. Ended up watching the match in a bookies not far from the stadium, and got chatting to a Liverpool lad. Got booze from an off licence so ended up pissed but disappointed. On the way back to the stadium to meet up with my lift, thd scouse decided to have a piss all over this car. We both got lifted by the coppers - I was gutted. Was put in the cells at the stadium, then transferred to Walthamstow station. Was done for drunk and disorderly and put in the cells to sleep it off!! Was not allowed out till 11pm. No lift, so made way to Kings Cross to get overnight bus back to the NE at some ridiculous price!! 92 was a **** year for me. Bart
Was in Nicosia serving with the UN. Invited 4 guys round to the house. Two of them were NUFC supporters who were, let's say, of the older generation but were wanting us to win, or so they said. ****e result but we all got completely bladdered and it turned out to be a cracking day
