If you say so Bri I know that you won't let facts get in the way of what you want to believe (as has been pointed out to you on your own board over this matter), but the truth is that we don't know any 'facts' about this case. We know that the woman made allegations about something that happened when Cisse was 16, 13 years before the allegations were made. We know that part of her allegation was that she was still married to Pappis Cisse and that the French authorities said they would prosecute him if this turned out to be true (as this offence is not restricted by any statute of limitations). We know that the French authorities have not brought any charges against him. We know that none of the papers who published this accusation have ever touched it again - the same papers who are still hounding an actor for a perfectly legal sexual encounter 5 years after it is alleged to have happened. We know that he has denied all of the accusations. We know that of the four accusations in the original story, one has been proven to be untrue and another looks likely to have been proven untrue due to no police action. We know that Sunderland supporters (rightly) said we should treat AJ as innocent until proven guilty. Basically, we know that much of the original accusation has proven to be false and that no evidence has been presented to back up the rest of the allegations in any form substantive enough even for the Sun or Daily Mail. We therefore know that the best we can say about the rest of the accusations is that we don't know. If he was charged with a sexual offence I would hope the club would suspend him immediately, for the benefit of everyone. For the benefit of the alleged victim, for the benefit of the player himself in case he was innocent, and for the benefit of the club's name. He hasn't been charged with any offence and nobody is repeating the accusations. He must be presumed innocent with no evidence to suggest otherwise. But don't let your club prejudices get in the way of the facts.
