Some of those were candidates for worst finish of the season. But I think Dusan has that one sewn up.
fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/42808 Interview with a chap from Spurred TV (on Ugly Inside video channel). He said that there was an air of inevitability that Saints would score. Mentioned Leicester's ability to close games out...which Spurs sometimes failed to do. I think that is what we lacked earlier in the season....let's hope we can continue this end of season form into the next season....after all that is what Leicester did.
Yeah just about to phone the ticket office too see what they can do, all worth it in the end though was abrilliant day, luckily I had enough money on me otherwise would still be crying now Atmosphere was cracking throughout, loving the Van Dijk song! Also the Koeman song that DTLW mentioned is great as well. Been wanting us to have a song to that tune for a long time. Was just perfect match really. Spurs fans didn't like the is this the emirates song I left the ground in a bit of a haze wondering if that had actually happened or had i somehow found my way into Archers dream Oh and I had a bet on Saints n both teams to score. Steven Davis brace ever a time to do it... Enjoyed collecting that
So Saints are saying they can see the date n time i bought the ticket and don't understand how it happened but may not be able to get full refund ? Trip down the ticket office it is.... after watching motd 2 of course
Yeah - I said to the guys I sit with "well, perhaps if we beat Spurs ........." so now I'm kind of committed. And, to be honest, I'm eager for next season now!!
Am worried; have missed the last two games because I have been traveling! Not sure if I should watch Satursday's game... Great news about VVD. Hopefully his intent will encourage others. Some reports had him MOM. RK: take note!
Well I suppose that means a few meet ups at the pub then!!! I am renewing but won't be able to go to lots of games due to sons hockey!
Two points reference the Saints first goal. 1) I have seen a couple of pro- Tottenham commentators say that the game should have been stopped owing to Walker receiving a head injury. Having just watched the highlights, at no time was it clear that Walker had hurt his head, and Moss, in all fairness, looked across at Walker no fewer than 3 times to see if he was ok, whilst we built our attack. Each time Walker was on his knees and looked to be getting up, so no fault with the ref, just the usual whinging. 2) The goal bears a striking resemblance to our first against Citeh, Martina curling a ball over the full back for Tadic to pull across for the tap in. For the benefit of Bradley Allen, on the BBC, it was not a long ball tactic goal. Buffoon. On another point, I don't know who was commenting for Sky, but his comment when Kane missed a high cross, something like " Was he pushed, was he nudged?" when he had straight forward missed it, was an exercise in embarrassing, arse licking.
Spoiler: Bad Language Alert Quote on a Tottenham board yesterday almost cost me a keyboard full of tea: This team couldn't finish a **** Vin
Listening to it on the radio it sounded as if Forster had committed a total screwup for the goal. When I watched it on match of the day I thought he did plenty to divert Son to give both CBs the chance to get back and cover. Then they both threw themselves on the ground completely missing the chance to block. If I was going to dish out blame for the goal VVD and Jose get a share. Didn't matter in the end anyway! We march on!
He would have easily have got there first if he hadn't have hesitated. If that was what he was thinking then that's worrying.
Highlights on the OS Player if you have it http://www.player.saintsfc.co.uk/latest-news/f1496f96-fb26-4fe9-bd62-06054848c47c Looking at their goal I think that they must have watered the pitch in places, several players slipped up before the goal, whereupon Fraser. VVD and Fonte all lost their footing (they didn't throw themselves to the floor) before Son wriggled past. I still reckon Kane was interfering with play, certainly distracted VVD.
Some people were moaning about the water break, it isn't the first time that it has been used, in August 2015 it happened at several Premier grounds, Sadio was feeling unwell when he was taken off and that may have been down to dehydration. I suspect that when the ground temperature reaches a certain level, the water break is enforced?
