I've been to Wembers every time since '73 where we've lost on each occasion . . . . maybe I should just stay away from the next one, if we're ever lucky enough to get that far again :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Apart from the match itself, 24 years ago today, '92 was brilliant, and I remember that we could easily have been 3-0 up before Liverpool scored their first . . . . bastards <grr>

Barry Venison was the youngest ever captain at a Wembley Cup Final that day, too :emoticon-0105-wink:

p.s. I've just checked, and he was the youngest ever Cup Final captain in 1985 against The Canaries <doh> . . . . I remember that one well, too :emoticon-0102-bigsm

p.p.s. I was one of the best players on the pitch in the 1992 final :emoticon-0100-smile

I was in Cornwall, with friends that weekend.

I don't recall the match at all, apart from the awful bastardisation of a football top.

I was there, and my main memory of the day was finding out on the coach home the next day that one of my mates had shaved one of my eyebrows off while I was pissed and asleep..

I was there. But had tickets in the Liverpool end along with quite a few other Sunderland fans. My main memory of that game was the dire attitude of the Liverpool fans, there was a dad with his young son about 10-12 years, old and after they scored their second the youngster had tears he was so upset but the Pool fans absolutely tortured that kid, laughing and making fun of him it was a disgrace.
People talk about spouse humour but this was something else and I've had problems with these scouse scum in the past, hate that clubs supporters with a passion.
As for the game once Pool settled it was men against boys

Made it as well. We gave a good performance in first half but they changed for the second and we never got near.

Can go with that, not a lot of them at half time but at full time they were crowing away with their trademark scouse scally wit.

On holiday we once shaved one of the lads eyebrows off and in permanent marker painted some back on about an inch higher so he looked surprised all the time. He wasnt happy and tw*tted one of the lads which made it even funnier. Took him a long long time to wash it off.

I was there. 1st half we should have been 2 or 3 up, 2nd half they switched mcmanaman to the other wing and he dominated the rest of the game.

Watched it on tv. Remember John Byrne missing a golden chance at 0-0 which meant he would have scored in every round. After that Jan Molby ran the game. Very one sided.

Never got to this one but my sister did.
I was far too busy trying not to get shot or my legs blown off.
Was there in '85 v Norwich.

I was there! My first visit to Wembley that I can remember (I was there in 85 but was only 9 and can;t remember much about it). I was 16 and was in total awe of the place. It felt like a football stadium both outside and in - the new wembley feels like an office block when you walk up to it! (Inside is a different matter mind!)

Pretty much re-iterating what everyone else said

I went down without a ticket and the ticket touts were asking for too much! So my plan was to watch it in a nearby pub only to find out late on that all the pubs in a 3 mile radius of wembley were closed. Think it was 3 miles? Anyway ended up watching it with a lad from jarra outside the ground on a portable hand held tv which was crap. Started to rain and crap game!

Missed that one although got a ticket for £25 and sold it for £50 !, I had had enough of Wembley after 1985 and 1990 also watched the 1998 play off final at the wheatsheaf pub, 2014 could not afford a ticket.

Hmmm... Gordon attempting to engage in conversation with Monty... Surely you know he never responds (unless he's called out about it!)
