Let me be honest, I now live in a small village on the outskirts of Durham City, truth,

I have nothing against Asians but the only ones I know run the village takeaway.
I dont hate gays but dont know any.
I dont like kids in baseball caps because they gather in the park outside and disturb my peace sometimes.
I think the amount of people starving in the world is bad but turn over the TV when its on.

I think I'm a good person and a nice person but I know I'm not perfect in any way.

I think I am typical of many.

    1. It's statistically more likely. Maybe due to the fact that ethinic minorities feel more of a need to club together to feel less marginalised, but still the case whatever.

    2. But focusing more on them has stood us in good stead.

    3. I'd be wary of any young lad. But it is culturally more acceptable to have sex with young girls in some places. When I was 15, I wouldn't have wanted to shag a 12 or 13 year old.

You may think me intolerant and paranoid Toby, but when you have your own family, your views may change. Idealism takes a back seat to doing the best for your wife/Mrs and kids.

Just to add about good people.

On the 19/02/2011 a thread started on the Sunderland board and agreed to collect football shirts to send to africa, found a team and got stuck in.

to date we have 8007 views and 254 posts, I think we may have sent a few kits, not sure how many.

We all want to do the right thing, say the right thing but, and its that word but that makes us human.

I don't want to get into an argument with you FB because you mean well...

By saying statistically you're justifying your views by lumping everyone into the same sack. The world doesn't work like that, everyone's different. If you want to keep those views that's fine, but all the examples you've used are exaggerations and case-specific.

    Have a good evening <ok>

I used to do web design and UI but moved into alternate avenues of IT. Now an IT business analyst.

I tried to get my sister to do web/graphic design as she was going to art college and she had to specify what branch of design she was going to do after the first year. She chose illustration instead and finished her degree this summer as a mature student.

She can't seem to find work...

    I tried to tell her.

    Good luck with your course.

No probs Tobes, I admire your tolerance and open-mindedness, and maybe I should be a little more like that. I think maybe I'm a bit too old to learn new tricks though. It's not even as though I'm prejudiced just in terms of race, I distrust scallies more than anyone, black or white.

If you're signing off, have a nice night yourself <ok>

I think I understand now we have all had our say, we are all racist in a tolerant way with non prejudicial prejudice towards anyone and everyone but an acceptance of all. And of course we all have a total impartiality to bigotry.

It's not the same thing. Aussie and Paki are both diminutives, granted, but Aussie refers to Australians (people who are strangely popular in the UK) while Paki is generally used to refer to anyone from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and possibly beyond; it's most definitely a pejorative term.
