Last eight games with a fully fit squad with no other competitions. W2 d4 L2 Ceded three leads in consecutive games. Next season they will have to play CL and Prem. With the big boys back, more pressure and tired injured players from Euro 2016. They need a £100m spend to challenge for title next season imo
You've completely overlooked their moral victory at Stamford Bridge. No team will ever **** with the Spurs players (when available for selection) again. That's the real trophy.
We've done alright this season without spending £100mill. Whereas some others have spent three times that to finish behind us!,..
We'll see. But, as Leicester have amply demonstrated, money ain't the answer to everything. It's not how much you've got, it's how wisely you spend it!...
It is both. Especially when playing CL too. Mental strength is also key as Leicester showed when Spurs melted
We have the youngest side in the Prem. They are still learning, some of them. Yes, we have recently conceded leads, but earlier in the season we were doing the reverse and turning games around and winning them. We probably need one or two old heads, especially in midfield, to help us close games out the way Leicester do. Don't underestimate Pochettino. He's determined to win. We'll be back!
Once in a while football needs a kick up the bum and Leicester and spuds did that but normal service will resume next season.
... do you mean the usual suspects getting humilated in the Champions League? ... nah ... us and the Spuds will also breath some welcome fresh air into that predictability too
You will find next season will be much harder, you have CL football so hope you can buy in, as you need a big squad to compete
... hoping we'll be fine ... we seem to be able to keep a whole squad happy ... really looking forward to it because, however we get on, we will give it a real go .... we don't know how not to
Personally I think Spurs will find it tough to balance CL football with a decent league position. They showed this season that they couldn't cut it over two comps and pooch folded when it came to the crunch in the Europa league. The CL is a big step up from the Europey and Spurs will be playing teams of similar quality to Dortmund each round.
Typical big club reaction to smaller team success . " You don't have a big ( money ) squad to compete " "you will never keep your players " " " Normal service will resume next season after this one off " . The pain of the big clubs failures this season has their fans clutching at straws I'm afraid .
