My youngest has started taking interest so need to find a good family pub and that's a rarity around here.
This is vital... hooking that kid on LFC is important. We should crowd fund Luv's one month BT subscription!
I've done the stream thing a few times but the picture is poor and I don't want that for a final. I'm going to try and find a good pub that's happy for kids to be there.
funnily enough I hoked my TV to the pc and the picture is actually better than on monitors for a stream. I'm going to lay in a lan cable from router all the way to PC and try watch final that way. the internet was "OK" last match put the minute anyone even had a phone on wireless it was lagging.
I have a friend who would be happy for me to go there with all the family but they are not footy fans and tend to want to talk during the game while I'm ranting like a deranged idot at the TV.
What type of stream do you go for? There are some decent HD ones out there. Pub is still the best option though -more atmos. Only problem is if there isn't a decent one near you, getting to and from if you want to have a few scoops. Pay Mrs luv to taxi.
I think Wednesday against Chelsea we play our strongest team so after that they have a full weeks rest and will be able to get into the swing of the final pretty quickly.Rest them for two weeks will see a massive difference in performance. Last game of the season we play kids and only kids, plus maybe Ings seeing as hes training now.
To be fair she's said that she will drive as it's a school night so will be going to a pub, just got to find a good one now.
According to this site the game is on BT Showcase, which is on freeview: http://www.live-footballontv.com/live-uefa-europa-league-football-on-tv.html This seems odd to me, as I'd have thought the final with a PL team in it would be too much of a money-spinner for them to pass up. A couple of similar sites say the same thing, but they could just be copying an error. I can't find a freeview guide that goes beyond 7 days to check. Having said that, I find I get a better picture on my monitor than on the telly, unless it's HD.
I thought I read somewhere that BT had to make the finals (Champions League and Europa) free to air. I know there is a freeview channel for the free to air games not sure about Virgin and Sky.
Is the right answer. It's on BT Sports Showcase, as well as their subscription channels. You can get this on freeview or the Sky platform @luvgonzo
They agreed to show some free games after pressure due to a drop in viewing figures. At this point I cannot find anything that confirms it will shown on showcase for free. If it is it would be great for us but unless they confirm it I have to have a back up.
