Why would Chris Wilder touch CAFC with a barge pole? Northampton will have bigger crowds than us next season.
Not only do we not have a manager, we don't have a head scout, or a head of comms, or a head of stadium security. Our club is f****d, we're another Blackpool, we can't attract any decent staff. The next manager will be another stooge, so it doesn't matter who he is.
Probably don't have any players too. Bet we have not scouted the ones that we want to sign, let alone watch them play. Guarantee we're going to have lower/mid-table crap for three or more years.
The infrastructure of the Club has been totally stripped out. With Douche now set to cut costs even further, it is hard to know what else could be sacrificed. Staff will be asked to multi task next season, Meire is leading by example by offering to pick the team.
So what's new? I wonder how those who have paid up front for their S/T's will be feeling? Unless they've renewed in order to protest
I've not yet renewed. Money isn't the issue for not doing so. It's them ****ers! Just about had enough, even if they do everything right, still is not enough...
Riga's second departure must have been the most underwhelming in our history. Its almost as if people are past caring about the changes. Chris Wilder zzzzzzzz maybe he can unlock the talent in Naby Sarr and Roger Johnson zzzzzz maybe he can get on with Tony Watt zzzzzzzz
It might be stating the obvious - but the next 2 weeks will tell us whether RD is bluffing or not about selling. You'd think if he goes and hires a respected manager in Wilder and a whole new back room staff, then he stays and attempts to right his wrongs.
I think I can remember when Pardew left and a thread on the old 606 Edit. I pressed post to soon. See below. Happy Monday
I think I can recall a 606 comment from what must have been when Pardew was sacked, and we were discussing who should replace him; I remember thinking I'd hate to have a journeyman Northern football league manager come in (the likes of Gary Megson always sticks in my head!) with no association to the Club or the fans. However now I'd probably settle for that! To my mind Wilder is better than that; still young and relatively successful and hopefully hungry - I thought he would be a contender after Powell left if we had been dealing with a rational Owner. One final point on Riga - it was interesting to see Jordan Cousins post on instagram his thanks to Jose. I know there are people here who strongly don't rate him but I do; it's all about margins and I an't help wondering where would be had he stayed on for the 2014/15 season and we had had some form of consistency.
Cousins said several months ago that Riga was the best manager he's played for. Karel Fraeye wept. Wilders a good manager, but he need the freedom to sign players who will suit his managerial 'philosophy' (for want of a better word).
If this bloke placates fans I will give up. He hasn't managed above league 2 and has spent has his career managing in the conference. He has admittedly had a very, very good season, but for me it's extremely underwhelming. By all accounts he plays a **** brand of football as well.
He certainly wouldn't placate me. But, put it this way, I'd be wilder if the Serb took over than I feel now.
Why Mike...? To be fair were f****d either way. If he succeeds... we could be stuck with RD & KM. If he fails.... RD & KM will say that our insistence on an English manager wasnt the way to go and revert back to no mark foreigners.
