This discussion about Tadic versus Lallana is never going to reach a compromise agreement imo. Mainly because both bring different things to the game. Tadic for me is not quite the standard of Lallana...yet. However I can see why others disagree with this.
Tadic will add more dimensions to his game and will improve immensely, well beyond Lallana's current standard as he, while good, has not improved any at Liverpool.
Tadic is showing massive signs imo of being a real star of the future and we will do well to keep hold of him.

 

I wonder if Brad Pitt compares the merits of Angelina Jolie against Jennifer Aniston?

I do enjoy these debates and as boring as it is, I don't have a favourite in this instance(i'm back on Adam Vs Dusan BTW)
Adams quickness of foot was a joy to behold. That goal against Hull was a dandy. He ran around a lot, which we know is a much admired quality, but it's not all rose tinted spectacles.
I felt he held on to the ball too long at times and missed great passing opportunities, but no players are perfect.

Dusan plays with his head up, his passing is another level. On a one on one situation with the ball, i wouldn't pick many players to consistently beat their man without the use of serious pace.
Like Black has said, lots of room for improvement. He's a bit of a liability without the ball and his reluctance to shoot has drawn the loudest groans from St Marys.

 

Our 5th against Sunderland last year, when Mannone fluffed the clearance and Dušan slotted it past him from 25 yards. With his left foot.

 

That was not a normal day of football. Doesn't count!

Lallana tough was renowned for his shooting ability. People still gather around the camp fire to share stories of Lallana's strikes which can only be describes as passes to opposition goalkeeper.

 

Why do people keep bringing up the "you hate Lallana" thing? Not everyone that thinks Tadic is better hates him. As I said at the start before the whole thing kicked off. Both are inconsistant, both will sometimes want a year on the ball, both have been or are great for us. But I still feel Tadic does more for us.

As I said . That's leave it as a difference of opinion.

 

Didn't mention anyone by name. I just get very tired of the whole 'twatbeard' thing. And I think people are only critical of him because of the way he left. So I'm defending him because he was a fine player for us.

 

I'm over it. He helped us get promoted, behaved badly, but is now history. Am happy with the players we have....not as if we sank without trace.

 

Lallana scored plenty from distance. I didn't say he was a top goal scoring midfielder (Lampard-type), but he was certainly more prolific than you give him credit for.

 

Lallana was sometimes brilliant, but could also blow it. He wasn't quite the finished article here. Mind you, any player who was brilliant all the time, wouldn't be at Saints....that's just being realistic.

I am only critical off him because of the way he left. He was a fine player for us. I also happen to believe Tadic is better. Close, but better.

Zero double standards. I was the one that said don't bother considering league one because he was being compared to Tadic. Compare them on a like for like. I have never said get Gaston back because he has ripped up the championship. So your facts are incorrect here. No double standards.
