Out - Green, Traore, Konchesky and Diakite. They are the only definite outs for me. I suspect there will be many more.
Who will go and who can't we get rid of. Green, Hoillett,Ale and Diakite are at the end of the contracts. JFH will make an offer to Hoillet but he won't take it. Ale he may make an offer to and he might, the club may make a coaching offer to Clint too, I hope so Angella and Konch will return to their own clubs. We get back Fer, Sandro (both who will leave) and Caulker (who won't...damn!!!) JFH will try and sell Phillips, Gladwin and Toszer. In a surprising move I wonder if Ned might look for offers too... In a very surprising move I wonder if the club might sell Smithies for a huge profit. A club of our standing cannot afford two such outstanding goalies
Good point forgot them...easily forgotten Traore and Yun are end of contracts, I hope JET is too....but all will be gone
Out of contract... Green, Hill, Traore, Kpekwa, Gobern, Diakite, Henry, Faurlin, Hoilett I would offer Henry a contact for his experience and he is of the right sort, Hill a coaching role and the young lad Kpekwa. The rest can go even Faurlin as although he is injury free his best days are long behind him. On loan..... Angella, Konchesky, Toszer can all go back with a thanks but no thanks Sell...... Sandro, Fer, Suk-Young, Emmanuel-Thomas. The first 2 should bring in some much needed cash for use in the transfer market and reduce the wage bill. Keep..... Caulker.....give this lad a pre season under JFH and see how he progresses until January, if he can screw his head on there is a good defender in there and we are not blessed at CB Doughty.....Had a good loan spell at Swindon and I think he deserves a chance to prove himself as a replacement for Faurlin Furlong....Spent some useful time on loan and deserves a chance in the first team Perch.....Useful cover for both full back positions
I think there will be quite a clear a big clear out during the summer. I expect or would like the following to leave, and the list is not exhaustive despite already being quite long: - Green - Traore - Yun - Konchesky - Caulker - Sandro - Diakite - Tozser - Fer - Phillips -JET - tba ... I would consider keeping the following: - Henry (as we currently do not have a replacement) - Hill (in a coaching and mentoring role) - Hoillet (on a lower wage contract which is very unlikely) - Angella (possibly) So much for our mid-table "stability". I am sure that we will be saying at the start of next season "...but the team needs to gell" or "..the team did not have a full team did nit have a full pre-season". But in Jimmy and Les we trust!
From what has been posted on similar subjects I would not be surprised if we do the sort of business in the summer that sees our transfer sheet showing in the black as opposed to in the red. Out with the big wage earners, out with anyone we can let go for free, out with anyone we can earn a few quid from, out with the on-loan players and welcome to some other loaners and hello to some bargains from the lower leagues. Let's see what JFH can do with a full season under his belt with a squad he's been responsible for shaping. If we don't sack him by Christmas obviously.
