Agreed. There was a bit of luck to our goal too. This is the poorest I've seen us play for a long time, missing Alli and Dembele badly.
a half that showed the best and the worst.... lovely flowing fast football to dominate and score, then almost complete loss of impetus allowing Soton to get right back into it. Mason has done some good things but struggling to dominate and dont think he and Dier are gelling. Defensively we have looked vulnerable and heaven knows where Lloris was for their goal. But give credit to the Saints. They have a really good team and deserve to be level. Hopefully, Poch will get them motivated for the 2nd half.
A few things in this half sum up how I have felt on where we can improve throughout the season. A lot of our attackers are a bit too head down for me. When the better pass is on and a seemingly much easier chance is on, they would rather shoot. Of course attackers are entitled to have a shot and selfishness is a reason why Harry gets many goals. However we should be getting more, we are good enough but the players need to switch on and improve concentration levels. Love Hugo for his positives for the team. I don't think he makes a good captain and I think he has an error in him in every game. Not only that but they are frustrating like **** errors and cost us. Therefore they are happening at crucial times of the games and have occurred frequently enough for me to be concerned. He's France's number 1 for a reason but he needs to be switched on at all times. Dare I say it but if we could upgrade to someone who makes worldies but concentrates a bit more and has that little bit more self belief...I'd make the purchase, I don't know who though. For me these two things have frustrated me too many times this year. Think these are concentration issues and need work on if we are going to in the future be in more control of our own success or teams will pick us off on a regular. Think we are good enough to win this if we can find another gear. These boys need to be proud of this season and finish it off today at home. COYS!
I think they should be proud and remind us all of the brand of football we have played this year. However I think they're is an air of dejection in our players today. They can't win the title and that's bothered them. Let's find 1 more gear and get the 3 points.
