Fabregas put in an Oscar winning performance and the Scum lived down to their reputation. Hopefully Leicester will go there on the last day and take them apart...
Felt sorry for Clattenberg, tried to let the game flow, but difficult when so much going on off the ball, plenty of handbags on show from both sides.......Maybe he should have dished out yellow cards sooner but then it would have ended up as a 5 a side game.....
Everyone has their own little system as to who they support, and when. My hierarchy is: QPR First England second. Then a London club over any provincial club. English club (including Chelsea) over any other nation in Europe. The only slight glitch is that if it's Liverpool playing Chelsea, I'd prefer Liverpool to win. Sort of logic in there somewhere!
Sunderland 1 Chelsea 1 - what a screamer from Khazri to tie things up at the Stadium of Light. Hammers spurning a potential European spot 2-0 down home to Swansea. Villa 0 Newcastle 0
Horrible defending sees Chelsea restore 2-1 lead just before HT, just when the fans were right back into the game. Big Sam must be doing his nut. Commentator - "This is not a team that does things the easy way" - sound familiar?
Had to take my daughter to work and missed all the comeback action, 3-2 - Sunderland I see with 5 mins to play. JT red card - a perfect result
Norwich on the brink! What a shame. Sunderland come back to go 3-2 up against the scum. Terry sent off!! Oxford promoted.
No he was sent off earlier in the season which adds an extra game to the one match ban. "g) ADDITIONAL SENDINGS OFF Players dismissed from the Field of Play for a second time in the same Season, in addition to the automatic suspension applicable to the offence, will be suspended for one extra match" Bet he full kits for the lap of honour though.
Rather surprised after such a good season at the inept display by Wast Ham losing 4-1 at home to Swansea, especially since they play Man Utd on Tues, and with a result today they had huge opportunity and incentive to leap frog them for 5th place and a Euro spot. Swansea City scored more than three goals in an away Premier League game for the first time since August 2012 vs QPR (5-0).
I recall in our 1966-67 Division Three promotion season how my Dad took me to Oxford to watch our season finale, expecting a coronation, but only to lose 2-1 and ditto for our trip to Bristol Rovers a couple of weeks earlier. Well at least for my very first ever R's match that season, against Bournemouth & Boscombe, we enjoyed a better outcome and was totally mesmerized by Rodney Marsh, although at times a bit nervous at Dad's banter with the home fans all round us. Champions Leicester obviously believe in conducting themselves differently, already 2-0 up against Everton. Terry red may end Chelsea career Guus Hiddink said he is unsure if John Terry has played his last game for Chelsea after his dismissal against Sunderland.
Spurs v Saints (1-0, Son) - pre-match commentary team discussed Saints' striker options - Long, Mané & Pellè with no mention of Charlie, who is once again a bench warmer today. I wonder if he is enjoying that role when he could have spent another half season banging in goals for us and further building his reputation? HT 1-1 Burton promoted to join us in the Championship with a 0-0 snore bore result at relegated Doncaster. Surprisingly with 5 mins to play Doncaster were listed at 250/1 to win. Walsall attempted to unseat them with a 5-0 win at Port Vale, but now go the playoff route instead, facing our arch nemesis Barnsley. Sad day for already relegated Blackpool losing 5-1 at Peterborough.
