I like that these two quotes follow each other, because I agree with both. We badly need another body in midfield, but if we are going to score then the counter looks like the best bet. But probably not if we sacrifice one of them for tat extra body.
While this isn't an argument that's really worth having and we're not exactly hard done by, if Forster stopped advancing because of Kane's movement and Son got to the ball ahead of Forster because Forster stopped then Kane obviously did interfere with play. The presence of a player in an offside position can and does affect the decisions of other players. It's where this whole "interfering with play" thing gets difficult.
