Rotherham weren't on holiday when they went 1-0 up.

City, on their own merit, turned that game around - not the holiday makers in Rotherham.

It's one of the two favourite cliches that keyboard managers like to trot out ....... ''he doesn't know his best line up'' - ''where's his Plan B, the **** ain't got a Plan B, he's ****in' useless''.

Back in the old days, Peter Taylor had his stalker John Fenwick who kept his infamous 'dossier' on PT's tactics/games. John Fenwick was convinced that we won despite Peter Taylor because of him. 2 promotions in 2 years was still not enough to let the old feller let go of the stick and start to enjoy the ride.
It seems we have a few on here keen to pick up where he left off. Fenwick was not one of the new breed of armchair managers just old school obsessive who adopted the armchair manager's ultimate get out clause of "No one can prove my theories wrong because we'll never see them in action"

True for so many topics on here, and elsewhere. Too many people criticise, but either have no better suggestions, or get upset when their suggestion is pulled apart.

I remember JF well, I was sat with him at Moss Rose for Whitmores debut in the FA cup - he was City through and through but he did have a terrible obsession with PT, if I recall correctly it started when Taylor dropped Paul Musselwhite for a young Bo Myhill. It was sad to see how his obsession spoiled the last years of his life.

Was it also instrumental in his marriage break up?

Rotherham had everything to play for. Namely a contact for the manager who saved them from relegation.
Hitting form ? One defeat in eight is hitting form in my eyes.
A manager who has managed the team to finish in equal second highest place at this level in the clubs history ( he has also beaten it once) Obviously hasn't a clue has he ? Unlike all the other previous managers the club have had.
And Powell has never been a first team regular.

I don't know the details of his marriage break up but I'm guessing it won't have helped if they had other problems too, his obsession was so focused it was all consuming, it made him very bitter.

Our form over the last 10 has been the worst of the top 6 teams.
I'm not particularly anti-SB but he does seem to make some peculiar decisions at times.
Granted Powell hasn't been a regular but he might have been if he was fit.

My point though is that City, for whatever reason, have been unpredictable and it's hard to feel confident about how they'll perform over the next 2 and hopefully 3 games. I'll be shouting for City as much as anyone, in the playoffs, next season, ad infinitum but I still think they'll do Derby and come unstuck in the final.

    We fell 6 points short.
How frustrating is that? A win at Bolton, and the home draws v MKD and NFFC converted to wins, and we'd have done it.

Did anybody else know that Jon Whitney is currently the caretaker manager/Physio of Walsall?

He had a win ratio of 66%, not bad at all.

Yes, but I feel quite guilty saying it. I don't agree with the scheme but going to watch Hull City is something we enjoy and I don't want to stop, I also don't want to lose the seats we have in East Stand.

    Chortle

In the event we don't come up, we can always keep tabs on Borer on MOTD.
The empty seats, the foggy haze even on sunny days and the plaggy bags swirling around on the pitch....it's just what the PL has been missing.

Boro will get bigger crowds than we would. And a better away following. Must be because it is such a rich, prosperous place compared to Hull.
