Im sat watching the Leicester v Everton game. All the pre match build up. The crowds. Everything.

25 mins in, the crowd hasnt come up for air.

Last night. And again this morning ive watched our match. Sold out. Crowd sounded superb. Massive roars. Lots of singing.

Imagine if it had a whiff of sucess. The roof would come off.

    The place would go mental.

Would mind a bit of graft on the concourses mind but I do love the place, and when it's loud it's deafening.

It's a special place at times. The play off semi final vs shef utd, the super kev 2-2 vs some future championship team, Richardson's rocket against the aforementioned **** kickers, the Chelsea 4-1 the Chelsea 2-3 in 09 and the Chelsea 3-2 yesterday those days the sol has lived up to the awesome standard of passion and noise set by Roker Park

In the concourse there were blokes hugging each other when the 3 goal went in ! the relief was fantastic, it was the best game and atmosphere this season for me, can we better that on Wed ? I think so.

When we are all together, when it's really going off, it's incredible.

It's amazing how many of the current side have bought into the club and that's been the fans. Kone, Defoe, M'Vila all mention it all the time.

17 of 19 always sold out and averaging well over 40k, it's staggering. It felt a bit like the Reidy days yesterday, just a buzz in the air, a belief.

Wednesday should be even better, **** I wish I had a Watford ticket!

The Chelsea 4-1 for me, the games itself didn't mean as much as any others but I'll never forget skp's volley I was in the NE corner the view I had of the flight of the ball was magnificent and for me it was the peak moment of that era. The whole ground roared them on from the first whistle and made a Chelsea team that had murdered us on the first day of that season **** their collective kegs

Only let down in that Chelsea game is that we didn't score the 13 we deserved.

Was like bees swarming we murdered them.

It's always decent v Chelsea. I think there's a bit of appreciation on both sides since the last time Mags went down, it's always there.

They get some stick Chelsea fans but I always find them decent and they are noisy as well. I don't think that influenced yesterday like think we just knew it was a big one.

I didn't get into town before as was up in Seaburn but I heard it was bouncing before and after.

When it's like it was yesterday there's nothing like it.

That atmosphere was the best it's been for ages, and I'm including the Derby this season.

It gives the players a lift, Khazri & Borini especially seem to respond and play a level higher when it's like it was yesterday.

I agree, Borini especially seems to thrive off it.

It's a two way thing though, the players feed off the crowd but the crowd has to react to the players putting the effort in, don't forget that was only our 5th home win of the season so in general the crowd have had little to get excited about this season and in fairness for the past two or three seasons yat 40k+ turn up each home game.
Sam has got the players, fired up at present, we are on a decent run of form and the crowd are reacting accordingly, if we could make the SOL a fortress again then scenes like yesterday will become the norm, just like when Reidy had the place rocking in his tenure.

I was thinking of this earlier.

Take that team yesterday and pit it against Reidy best teams, or even Bruces chelsea demolition job.

Ive no idea of the outcome.

Yep. So you have picked your winner from a 3 team tournament?
