If Sunderland win their game in hand at home to Everton on Wednesday, Newcastle and Norwich will be relegated.

He praised us today. He said he wants to model Sunderland on us.

Chelsea's defeat today means that Saints are guaranteed a top eight finish for the third season in a row.

Magnificent stuff, whatever happens from here on...

I'm so pleased he'll miss his "send off" (<laugh>) at Stamford Bridge next week.

I thin you have to respect what an incredible job Allardyce has done at Sunderland. His sides don't play the best football but he knows exactly what you have to do at this stage of the season when you're in a relegation dogfight. Fair play Sam.

Andrea Bocelli is singing in the centre circle, stood next to Claudio Ranieri, as they toast Leicester City winning the Premier League title.

    Wake me up.

Leicester fans can't keep quiet while Nessun Dorma is being sung. Instead, they're joining in. At least they aren't asleep. ;)

Allardyce is a good manager. I have always liked him. Also don't think he is quite as extreme hoofball as people make him out to be, though admittedly he is on the goofier end of the scale.

He typically gets handed weak sides, so hoofing it is a valid and perhaps the best tactic. I think if he were ever handed a classier side, he might play differently. I don't have enough confidence in him that I'd let him to it with my club, though!

Still, he gets results and the most out of his talent. If I were in a relegation threat situation, I would want him. Sort of a bad typecast and maybe a little unjust that it seems like all he will ever get to do is manage weaker prem sides, But there are worse fates.
