Intriguing watching L2 results pan out today, just so close, right down to the final whistle.

I totally agree with you!! I hope they can recover their buoyancy to defeat 'orrible Wimbledon in the play-off semi-finals. I feel, though, that Plymouth will see off our beloved friends along the M27 and meet those awful Wombles in the final.

While it would have been great for Accrington to go up via the autos, it's quite a recovery by Bristol Rovers after having departed the Football League for the first time...did not take them long to get back to their third-tier comfort zone.

At least he was there to celebrate.

Horrible injury, that will take a few weeks to heal. Will he be in the premier league next year? Boro looked unbalanced when he came off, he links the midfield and attack well.

I liked the way he sat up long enough to show it to the ref, making the ref change his mind from yellow to red card.

What Burton Albion has accomplished is extraordinary. Their record transfer fee is £20,000...and that was shelled out seven years ago, when they were playing in non-league. If Transfermarkt is to be believed, they have risen from the Conference to the Championship with only a single fee-paying transfer of £17,000.

Gary Rowett had a lot to do with that success.

Absolutely, though it has been something of a joint effort. Got promoted to the FL under a caretaker manager, Rowett took them to the promotion places in League Two before Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink got them over the line to League One, at which point he departed mid-year for QPR and Nigel Clough led them to the Championship.

Now it's highly likely that Clough and Burton will be playing against the two managers who previously left for sunnier climes, heh.

Poor Nigel. Seems to have lost his mojo....perhaps we used it all up. :(
