you think ings suits?I actually think Origi suits our style better at the moment. His pace and proper pressing is superior to anything Sturridge can offer.
not seen enough to comment, just interested in other reds input on him.

we had that before we let suarez goOn Sturridge...I don't like his display of attitude...I think it smacks of "individual" in a team game..you could name the likes of Ronaldo, Owen or Ibra...does it make them bad players? No.
If their team mates don't care and say "that's just him" then fine as long as they produce the goods.
Sturridge weakness has always been the amount of games he plays in a season. If you have to rely on him it's just not good enough. If you have 2 or 3 other strikers that tick along with goals then it's a great luxury.
We have enough money that if the manager brings in a good enough forward squad Sturridge is a luxury we can afford.
We should however never be in a position where we rely on him to do anything other than change an individual game rather than a season....

That's the thing when people were talking about selling him.
He's our number 1 striker and he scores every 1 1/2 games. If he plays 38 games a season he's going to get us 20-25 goals no question. But unless things change he's only going to play 20 games so only going to get 10-15 goals. Before we didn't really have anyone to play in the other 20 games and get similar numbers and that's been the issue, but it seems like Firm & Origi look to be stepping up and can deputise for him if he is out and get the required goals to make him absence not felt as much

You cannot cherry pick "some fans" to suit your argument. That argument could be used for a number of different points. Some fans dislike Suarez but hated when he left, would I use such an example? No.
Your highlighting of Milner and Henderson as choir boys is jumping on the other extreme so as to make any Sturridge critics seem irrational, as if the choir boys is the only alternative.
I understand why he is selfish and a sulking type, but you cannot seriously defend a player for that unless it is completely warranted. At any club you need team players who can differentiate between opportunities they are ABLE to score, therefore correct in being selfish and passing where appropriate. It's a situational thing and no one should apologise for criticising a player when he makes the wrong decision at the detriment of the rest of the team.
Just to clarify once again, I like Sturridge as a player and I want him to stay. But your absolute defence of him does not make sense. When a player needs to improve, it is fine to point it out. It doesn't make us disloyal.
Similar to your raving of Emre Can a while back in a game where I personally felt he played poorly. Emre is one of my favourite players and I think he has a big future at the club. that does not shield him from constructive criticism.
I don't mean to launch a personal attack on you Jimmy but your indirect digs (conveniently in hindsight often) is a little off in terms of accuracy sometimes.
Like I said, you can have players who darent speak out or have a personality like Milner or Hendo.
I rather have players who believe they're good enough for bigger clubs, or don't talk about loving the club every 5 minutes.
i love your subtle wuming diegoBeer, phone or typo's?
