I don't get why 8000 go on general sale. That is so wrong on many levels to the clubs who get there and this type of crap also encourages ticket touting eufa you thick corrupt bunch of ****ers!!! Saying that is there anything in the rules to stop each club buying say half the tickets and selling them to their own fans?
Well... Yes you are right. The thought would be to release tickets months ago to whoever wants to go, say in basel itself and I know one red who gambled and bought 2 then. The general sale occur months ago I think But yes it must be wide open to touting on a small stadium like this. My check showed this is smallest ground in 5/6 years.
Well I've qualified for the ballot but I highly doubt I'll get any tickets. Pot luck at this stage I suppose but I think the odds are against me. Cross all your fingers and toes for me, guys
fair enough i suppose but not really, lame argument. 10k to each club that reach the final but 8k to ones who dont so they can sell them on black market for a 1000% return on their investment. you work for eufa
thats my point, you only qualify by being at so many home games right? so why 10k to a team that reach the final but 8k go on GENERAL sale!! its a farce to all teams around europe in the europa, and they wonder why this comp is seen as a joke!!! although if we win beers are on rhc
That shouldn't even be considered, the teams that reached the final should share as near to 50-50 of the total allocation as possible, the locals in Basel should watch the EL finalists the way way they've watched them in every other round....on the tv.
It does seem that UEFA are constantly trying to devalue their own comp... they did well giving the winners CL football, but allowing the CL failures to enter at the knock out stages... holding it in tiny stadiums... seem hell bent on making it less important.
Cheers mate On Tuesday at 1pm, I think it said. Its going to be a ball ache having to sort flights and stuff out last minute if I do get tickets though.
I think they consider it a parachute competition for the top CL clubs who have off seasons, then they still make money from the EL
i see your point and agree, but i personally think they should keep the 2 separate and not allow cl drop outs to enter, as a lot of teams( even cl teams are happy to win the damn thing!!) each comp should be done on own merit. its a good comp for all teams to win any way. all wuming aside from all teams, but every club would obviously like to be in the cl, but if your club was in the europa and you won it, would you not be happy? exactly. these comps are being run from a financial point of view, which fair enough they have to do to a certain degree to probably survive, but devaluing the damn thing is just plain wrong!! its got the point where clubs who havent won the damn thing, think whats the point, and does cl entrants really solve that problem?
