This is it isnt it. I was never bothered about the name change, still arent really. The seat moves of East. It'll open up a can of worms just mentioning it but there were very few on here who didnt support moving the away fans. Plenty advocated it to the club. I do wonder if the old man is/was in favour of this membership bollocks or if its Ehab's alone. Its the worst idea ever. Again i just dont know how some who saw it in advance thought it was good.
I was bothered about the name change, but was quite prepared to forgive and forget if he'd dropped it after it was refused once I was evicted from E2, and never supported moving the away fans into my seat! However I went out of my way to renew my pass in the minuscule time allowed By this season everything has just added up with a steady drip of ****, it was mainly not knowing the name that meant I didn't renew, but lots of other things such as Airco added to it. However I've still bought match tickets home and occasionally away The membership scheme is in my view the worst of the lot as it will kill the club in years to come by stopping kids coming now Anyway wrong thread...maybe we'll scrape it 1-0 today!
Think its human nature really if it doesnt directly affect people they dont care. Dont think you posted on here at the time of the seat moves. Dutch fought a pretty much lone battle. When i got made redundant years ago, blokes in other departments who I'd known years didnt give a **** about us. and they did come for them eventually.
...oh and half way through the second half Livermore will recklessly slide into a challenge on the touch line, take the ball so not be penalised, but will slide straight past their player and straight into Colin's shins, Colin will be thrown up in the air and do half a somersault before landing upside down. I hope he'll be ok, but he may get injured Keep your eye out for it
I did post at the time, although not as much. Certainly agreed with Dutch Probably posted more on CI then
Well doesn't tell you something about the type of poster this message board attracts? Only on this forum do you still get pro Allam types. The name change should have seen 100% opposition. This forum is and always has been full of politically correct tossers with no backbone. Mother don't let them hurt me. In a pub or real life most posters on here would get spat in the face. However I still enjoy reading it much like a visit to the zoo. Keep it up.
Plenty on CI were happy with moving E1-3. As Im sure Dutch will be telling you. Some were even pushing it with the club.
If you not only eat ****, but help catch, prepare and cook it, and then enjoy the meal, it shouldn't be a surprise to see that it's a regular item on the menu.
I think there are some significant reversals regarding the Allams, but one or two of the most regular and offensive of posters seem to sliding positions without having the balls to accept it as loudly as they slated others for being anti-Allam. That fence is still full of sitters, too.
So Mr Lambrettaman during the name change "debate" on here are you saying we weren't immersed in man-bag city? Weren't you embarrassed that the club you supported actually had these people as fans, willing to basically sell their arses for success on the field? Almost every thread descends into petty squabbling with ever so hurtfull comments, like I said in real life, face to face half of the stuff on here wouldn't be said. And I know you were behind the move but it was so wrong. Not purely down to evicting those nasty chavs who sing ctid. Why weren't people asked who actually used to lead the singing at Boothferry park and the KC to see if it was a good idea to split up the singers? You know people who actually knew about stuff like this. But no, a few high profile fans who thought they were Hull Citys biggest fans - head of the Ultras and away coach organiser types got ahead of themselves and they have ruined it. It should have been the buffer of flaskers in e4-e6 who were evicted to be replaced with a dedicated singing section. Not a half baked not thought through relocation scheme with a buffer of family types inbetween home and away fans. Any zone where home and away fans are close should be filled with fans who like to make noise. Make the most of these areas, fill them with singers. No thought was made to the e4 flashpoint area where you have rowdy away fans next to the "sit down please rug brigade" But no I am wrong about all the above. I will get shouted down by posters on here who have claimed in the past - I don't have to sing to support Hull City. Spectating isn't supporting. Obviously my post had a wum element to it because most of the intended targets deserve to be jostled back into manhood. Seriously if this board is a true reflection on the testosterone levels at todays football matches I can only put it down to the constant bombardment of oestrogen in our tap water over the last 40 years turning modern man into a front bum.
I personally know those who pushed the club for the move. I wouldn't say there were plenty on CI as there aren't plenty who actually post on there. Also one away coach/minibus organiser was instrumental in the move, but I don't know if he posts on here or CI. It was a badly thought out move from an improving the atmosphere angle. Never mind those innocent fans uprooted and indeed so miffed that they stopped attending. The funny thing was the most vocal group - the so called Ultras, lost half of their loudest fans who stopped attending. That's how well thought out it was. Not enough consultation. We all know in life, positions of power attract the wrong sort of people. Just look at our club at the moment. And message board admins etc
Never sat on the fence regarding something which is so fundamentally wrong on all levels, the name-change is and always will be a joke of an idea as are most of Allams observations on football or life. They wanted the stadium, couldn't get it and now we are stuck with spiteful owners
I pointed out most if not all of the failings to the club, and anyone else in earshot before it was active. It doesn't make being right any easier now we see the reality, and the denials and rewriting says more about those people than it says about my "whining", and some of their comments on the effects of recent events have been literally incredible. Just to add to the readings from my crystal balls, you won't get too many likes for those posts,it's something people just don't want to face.
If Bruce commented at all, it was about away fans putting off one player at one penalty. If they're that delicate, it makes me wonder how they cope being nearer to away fans more often at corners, and at away grounds. It's interesting how many that repeated this dubious fact in defence of the evictions, now claim Bruce gets a lot wrong. Yep fans want a better atmosphere, they also want cheaper tickets. We've got cheaper tickets, but people are (rightly) up in arms. There are ways of doing things. There were some attempts to improve the atmosphere, but these were stalled, and not by the club. It was always going to be a **** move from so many angles. yet some backed it, and criticised those that were affected and opposed it, yet now, the same upset matters....
